Why DBZ is Getting Old
written by CY2K1

Oh god! DBZ! It's turning into Pokemon! Wake up Rip Van Winkle. It is Pokemon.
Two types of people in this world: 1- Us. We understand Anime. We know how it's a gift from Japan (along with everything else), and is a form of entertainment some people need to survive. There is also 2- People who group all anime in one category, Pokemon. I've tried to explain to these people the difference. I try to say this is a nation where different cultures intermesh to make the USA, but no. They see a Goku shirt, and say Look! He sucks, he likes Pokemon. NO! What have I been telling these people? There is a difference! But they ignore me. Personally, I am straying away from DBZ. All I do is read the Viz DB graphic Novels, but soon people will start to buy them and every webmaster with his own little Geocities site will know who Daimao is. I'm tellin' ya, there only needs to be about 10 DB/Z/GT sites. Like these:

1- Daizenshuu EX. Great site to just check up on to learn news tidbits. No, I do not hate Vegetto EX. He gives very high respect to those who do not act like idiots. The Loft... must be seen to be believed.

2- Planet Namek. Same as above. Kaio's Korner is hilarious at times.

3- Ginga GIRI GIRI! This site is great. Castor Troy is a great guy with a good sense of humor.

4- Kienzan's Edge. A site devoted to editorials and such is original enough to make it on my list.

5- Toriyama.org. Devoted to Akira Toriyama, this ultimate database made it through so many server problems, but still excells. (NOTE: If you want to go to this site DO NOT go to www.toriyama.org! Another group bought the name and put nothing but ads on it. Go to http://toriorg.animenet.org to go to the original site.)

Wow! Only 5... I guess I didn't put "SuPr SaiYN VeGiTTa ANd GoCKuS aWsOmE SuPr SiTE!!!!!!!!" on it... must have slipped my mind. I think everyone should face it: You are not going to have a popular site without HTML and an original idea. EX and PL are only up there for their great staff and resources. Now I know some sites will go on for a long time, but guys, the end is visible. Within at the most 2 years, FUNi will dub DBZ's last season and move on to DBGT, which will only take one season. FUNi has dubbed 77 eps, they can handle 64. The only thing left is to salvage DB's Saban wreck, or hope someone greedy attemps to create a new series. But the only thing close are the DBAF rumors, which I may remind you are not true. I think Greg Werner is starting to realize this, and some sites already have. A lack of updates will tell you if your favorite site is gone. Check JKwok44's site. Dead. Greg Werner's? Near. EX and PL? Doesn't look like it, but you never know for sure.
I'm not trying to predict doomsday. But what I am saying is this:

1. DBZ is starting to suck.
2. Little boys and girls, if you don't know HTML and have something new, forget sucess.
3. Go to these sites, and support them and the webmasters. They are (as far as I know of) good guys just trying to inform the world.

So do what you want, but if you can get anything from my advice, take it. Bye for now people.
