Information: Dragonball Z Movie Summaries: The Tree of Might
Movie 03 - The Tree of Might
The Tree of Might introduces Turles, a new character who makes a short appearance in Dragonball Z. Turles arrives on Earth to plant the Tree of Might, which somehow grows a fruit that will give a large amount of power to whom ever eats it. Turles and his gang arrive on Earth during nighttime, and they plant the seeds to the tree in a large canyon near the area where their ships landed. Within a matter of hours, the tree begins to sprout and soon has begun to spread its roots. However, this is no ordinary tree folks; it consumes all water used by every living thing in the planet and dries Earth up into a dry and barren wasteland. Within a matter of days, the tree grows to its full size and is now an enormous plant slowly destroying planet Earth. Goku and the rest of the gang set off to stop this massacre, but before they can stop Turles and his minions, Turles eats the fruit that the tree grows and begins to defeat all the Z fighters. He then sets his eyes on Gohan who he thinks has a large power level potential. He forces Gohan to transform into Oozaru, after showing him a fake moon. Soon Gohan turns into a giant monkey and begins destroying everything in sight. Goku sees this and immediately explodes in rage.

He yells at Turles and tells him not to mess with his son. Goku sets off and within a matter of minutes, defeats Turles. Goku's next challenge is to defeat his own son, Gohan who's now in a state where he cannot easily be defeated. After a tough time, Goku finally is able to find Gohan's tail and chops it off with a ki disc. Soon Gohan returns to normal in his young child body. Goku's last mission is to return Earth to its normal self. To do this, he calls upon Shenron to retrieve Earth back to normal. As usual, Shenron agrees, and within a few hours, Earth is once again our home planet and is no longer being destroyed by a giant tree.
