- GBA DBZ Game...
•A new Dragon Ball Z fighting game is in development for the Game Boy Advance.
Atari has officially announced Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu for the Game Boy Advance. In development at Webfoot Technologies, Taiketsu lets players choose to fight as one of several Dragon Ball Z characters, including Goku, Buu, Gohan, Cell, Piccolo, Frieza, Trunks, and Vegeta. These characters can battle it out in a variety of locations based on the series, such as Orange Star City or Master Roshi's Island. The game will also support multiplayer features so that up to four characters (two human-controlled and two computer-controlled) can fight at once.
“After our outstanding success with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, we are very excited to be working with Atari to bring the first DBZ fighting game to the Game Boy Advance," said Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation Productions. "Atari knows how to bring the DBZ atmosphere and action to our fans, and we expect Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu to be another great DBZ fighting action game."
Stay Tuned!

- Movie Review
•I got to see the new movie today. I've been waiting for this one for quite some time, and I know many of you guys have been filled with anxiety too. "How was it?" you ask? Here's my review of Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan...
*Scores are based on a scale of 1-10, the higher the better.
Plot - 8/10 Luckily Funimation could do little to damage this. The idea is excellent, but sadly it played out to be a bit shallow in the end. I would have enjoyed seeing some lower-level fighting mid-way...I usually enjoy watching a squad of henchmen getting pounded by Krillin, Gohan, and Piccolo. Meanwhile, flashy attacks and power-up scenes were a rarity. And the ending...psht. I've seen the movie before in Japanese, and I know how it goes, but seriously, the idea of Goku gathering everyone's energy to punch a hole in someone is played! But the amount of humor in this movie was a nice surprise, and it was never improperly placed.
Animation - 9/10 Probably the cleanest animation in a DBZ movie to-date. Crisp, with good lighting to make those explosions look dazzling. The only flaws here were extremely minute.
Dubbing - 5/10 Yuck! Funimation did a truly pitiful job on this one. Sean Schemmel was the worst of all and he's the main character! The rest of the cast seemed to get by with avergae efforts. Meanwhile, the music was horrific...probably the worst so far. It seems like FUNi tried to combine the idea of using original songs from movies 4-5 with the generic stuff used in 6-7. Sadly this turned out to be a horrible decision. They should either use original songs from GOOD bands like American Pearl and Dust for Life (both previously featured in DBZ movies), or stick with what they have from the television series, or just use the Japanese music dur lol. The script itself is what salvaged this score...it actually wasn't too bad. Congrats FUNi, you didn't screw one thing up completely! ;)
Overall - 7/10 Even though FUNi managed to crap-out yet another DBZ movie, it's still a good story. I would suggest checking out the Japanese version though...you'll get a better experience from it. Also, if you happened to purchase the DVD, check out the Making of LOG 2 extra feature...it's surprisingly entertaining and lasts quite awhile.
Hope you guys enjoyed my insight...if you don't agree with me - too bad! Lol.

- Minor Budokai News
•In this month's issue of GameInformer, a small paragraph was devoted to the progression of Budokai 2. It focused mainly on fusions...now we all know the game will feature fusions. But, it confirmed that there will be fusions not seen in the series. And not only that - there will also be *absorbing* options! I wonder what Buu would look like after absorbing Vegeta or the Supreme Kai? I guess we'll have to wait until December to find out.
