Dragonball Z Mix Ups
This isn't really just a section; it's more of a
humor section. It tells about the mix-ups and plot holes that occured
throughout the DBZGT sagas.
UPDATE: This section has been updated to include
mixups 8-
1. My Wish is..
When Goku asked Shenlong if he could revive Bora
from the dead, Shenlong says, "There is no wish I cannot grant." Not
true. In the future, time and time again, he cannot grant some wishes.
2. Nameks eat what???
When Kami tells Mr. Popo about his child hood on
Earth, near Yunzabitt, he said he couldn't find food he could eat. When Dende
tells Krillin, Gohan, and Bulma Namek's can only drink water, then how come
Kami couldn't find any food that he can stand?
3. Trunks and his little problem
When Trunks tells Goku about his future, he says
that Android 19 and 20 are terrorizing them. When he comes back three years
later, he sees 19, and has no clue that he is. He tells everyone that it was
Android 17 and 18 terrorizing them.
4. Namek's and their Growth
When Piccolo Jr. was born, it took him three
years to fully grow and mature. When Dende came to Earth, it took him around 20
years to grow and fully mature. Some just reach that point in their life
earlier than others on Namek I guess.
5. Cell's little Cell
After Cell was blown up on Kaio Sama's planet,
he says he became alive again by the little cell that was his head, and made
him regenerate. Well, how come he could regenerate when Goku with his
Kamehameha, about an hour ago, blew off his full head?
6. People in the Room of Spirit and Time
(Hyperbolic Time Chamber)
It is said no more than two people can go into
this room. However, Super Buu, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks have been in their at
once for about a hour's time.
7. How many Cell Juniors?
In the anime, Cell makes seven miniatures of
himself to take on the Z Warriors, however, SSJ2 Gohan kills eight of them.
NEW
8. Resolution Change
In Dragonball, Goku doesn't blink an eye at
killing a poor simple red ribbon soldier. However, in DBZ, Goku won't even end
the life of a few ginyu members that have murdered millions.
9A. Son Goku the Prophet
Goku once has a dream during his heart virus
that Androids 17 & 18 are coming to kill him. The only problem is, he's
never seen them before.
9B. Son Gohan the Prophet, too?
Gohan has a dream in the time chamber that Cell
arrives and kills his mother and Piccolo. This is only a few episodes after he
tells Goku that he's never seen Cell.
10. The Spacesuit from Nowhere
Originally, Goten, not Pan, was supposed to go
help search for the black star dragonballs. Only Pan sneaked on board, and they
didn't know she was there until they were in the air. Therefore, how is it that
we see her with a personalized spacesuit with PAN printed on the back? I don't
think they had time to stop off and get her one, lol.
11. I guess the dragon wasn't paying attention..
Wish made at end of DBZ: Revive everyone except
the bad people. Therefore, why is emperor pilaf alive in GT?
12. "Selective Radar-ing"
In DB/Z, the dragon radar never picks up the
black star dragonballs. Why? Nobody knows. Oh, and don't think it was out of
the radar's range up there on Kami's lookout, in GT it picks up dragonballs on
other planets.
13. Date Mixup
According to the timeline that appeared in one
of the daizenshuu, Goku was killed by Raditz Oct 761 and wished back on Nov
762. But, didn't the dragon say that you can't bring people back over a year
after they are killed? Oops.
14. Cheated of their after-death lives
In the Super Buu saga, Old Kai gives his life to
Goku but comes back in the same spot with a halo, because they were an area of
the other world, the Kaioshin planet. Therefore, if you live in heaven and die
it shouldn't matter too much. But when Kid Buu kills West Kaioshin and North
Kaioshin, they disappear! Shouldn't they have come back with halos? And no you
can't kill someone again once they're dead.
15. Time Stopper
During the Gotenks vs. Buu fight in the time
chamber, there was a scene in which Bulma serves food, and everyone is shown
bored and worrying outside the chamber. Now if chamber time is 360X outside
time, and the fight was under 30 minutes (it had to be or Gotenks would've
unfused), 5 seconds should have passed outside. Its kinda hard to have a full
minute scene in 5 seconds.
16A. Hairy Mixup 1
Vegeta says once that a Saiyan's hairstyle never
changes. But, in GT, his hairstyle changes somewhat, and he grows a moustache.
16B. Hairy Mixup 2
While Goku and Vegeta are running around in 100X
gravity, their hair still stands up. So I guess you could say that they have
strong hair, right? But when they're underwater, their hair sways!
(8-16B were done by tennis_man45)
16C. Hairy Mixup 3
Vegeta also says that Saiyan hair doesn't grow.
But Goku's hair definitely grows from when he is a baby until his adulthood.

17. Saiyans can't breath in space, or is that
what they want you to think?
We learn that Saiyans cannot breath in space
when Frieza is about to blow up Namek, but in the Garlic Junior Saga, Vegeta is
training in space jumping from meteor to meteor... and also when Goku takes
boss monster carrot to the moon. And, in the Bardock Special, Bardock seems to
be doing fine when he confronts Freeza in space. (Submitted by Dclbone1 of

18. Cheating the System?
In one episode, Piccolo says that villains do
not get to keep their bodies, yet a few episodes later, we see Cell, Freeza,
and all the others in hell. (Submitted by Link)
19. Make up your Mind Damnit
Vegeta was stark raving mad at Enma Daio's place
when he found out that his self-destruct didn't kill Buu. But he also told Goku
later on that he saw his entire fight as an SSJ3, meaning he DID see Buu alive.

20. Uh, Sorry, You Got the Wrong Guy
In Dragon Ball they said that Dr. Flappe was
responsible for making the androids. But in DBZ they said that Gero was did it.
So basically this would be a plot hole. (Submitted by B33) |
