Summary:

Strongest Under the Heavens!
Goku comes up in the air and kicks his opponent to the ground, smiling with his victory as the referee announces his win. Goku and Krillin have entered the Tenkaichi Budoukai, the Strongest Under the Heavens! After training for eight months with the invincible master, Kamesennin, or Muton Roshi, they have become one of the strongest fighters in the tournament today and are ready to show their stuff. Krillin gets ready for his fight, getting his fighting stance, when the referee tells the fight to begin. Goku tells Krillin good luck, so Krillin thanks him by turning his head. His opponent takes the advantage and kicks him in the stomach, making him fall to the ground, and slamming his elbow on his back. The fighter gets up, wheezing at his midget friend, and starts to laugh. Everyone starts to wonder why he was so good before, but just got defeated so easily now? Krillin gets up making his opponent fear for his life. Krillin admires himself, seeing that Kamesennin's training really did work, since it didn't hurt him at all. The other martial artist master on the other hand, confesses that no one gets up after he kicks them, making Krillin mad and telling him he's ready to fight. His opponent gets scared and hides behind the referee, telling him that he gives up. So, with that, Goku and Krillin both fight each fighter in front of them, until finally they reach their final round in the qualifying rounds.

The referee announces that whoever wins this match will go on to the finals. Krillin yells at Goku that he had better win, while a familiar face watches behind him. It's Yamcha! He starts to ponder about people saying that a young boy is beating every fighter that faces him, so he just had to see if it was who he thought it was. Sure enough, it's Goku. The referee tells the fighters to begin, while the opposite fighter crouches, telling Goku that no one can defeat his Lion-Fang Fu. He also notices that Goku's fighting stance has many holes in it, so he tries to take the advantage, going out full force. He takes a punch, but hits nothing but air, making him surprised of his ghostly work. Goku is in the air, trying to kick him from the air, but the other fighter moves out of the way in time. He starts to wonder why he's so good, until Goku kicks him in the shin, making him worry about his balance. He falls over and Goku grabs his legs, making the fighter ask who he is? Goku doesn't answer and throws him out of the ring. The referee announces that number 70 is the winner and will go on to Tenkaichi Budoukai finals! Goku gains great pleasure from this, starting to yell and rant. Goku hugs Krillin, telling him that he really did it. The referee then yells out for number 93 and 97 to come up. Goku boosts Krillin's confidence, telling him that they're both going to go to the final rounds together! Krillin agrees and gets up, facing a large bear.

Yamcha walks up to Goku, congratulating him, while also confusing Goku who he is. Yamcha yells out Rou Ga Fu Fu Ken and goes into a fighting stance, making Goku gain memories of his fight with Yamcha! Yamcha asks if he remembers, while Goku hugs him and tells him it's been a long time. Goku also tells him that he couldn't recognize him because his hair is shorter. Yamcha speaks that Bulma told him that long hair is not in style, so she forced him to get a hair cut. Yamcha then goes on to say that he would have never thought of them to meet in a place like this, while Goku asks if Yamcha qualified? Yamcha brags that he has and says that for the past eight months he's been training for this. Yamcha puts himself down though, saying that he doesn't think he has a chance against him, with the invincible master's training putting him way more stronger. Goku confesses that it surprised him too, while Krillin is also fighting the bear and doing really well. Krillin jumps up and kicks him, knocking him out, making the referee yell out that number 93 will go to the finals! Yamcha points to Krillin, asking Goku if he trained under Kamesennin too? Goku tells him that he did and he's his training mate. Yamcha sighs, saying that second may not even suite him, while Goku and Krillin jump in the air together. Yamcha then tells Goku some good news that Bulma, Puar, and Oolong are all in the main arena. Goku gains a huge smile and asking if he's lying or not? At the main arena, Kamesennin meets up with Bulma, Puar, and Oolong, making them both surprised to meet each other.
