Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance

The long awaited 6th sequel, not including various side games, to Mortal Kombat since it's release in 1991 has arrived and with the same kombat, attitude, and Fatalities we all love.

It doesn't seem to amaze me how after so many years Midway kan still produce a game that was started in '91 and be as great as it is today. This game would be a main reason on why to buy a Next Generation game system and buy Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance with it.

Many of your favorite karacters from the past return, with some new ones as well, making the game even more joyful too see you favorite fighter in 3D.

Many had believed this game to be a flop as was Mortal Kombat Gold, but in the eyes of a reviewer this game makes MK Gold look like it was made in five minutes.

New Elements

There are several new elements to this game ranging from fighting techniques to the kontent given to you. The modes in this game far beat what most fighting games would give including Konquest mode, where you are a monk walking from place to place doing missions with the karacter of your choosing and learning his Moves and perfecting them, Kontent , which gives you articles beyond belief from old action figures to hilarious pictures and even the history of MK, and the now infamous Krypt, in which you unlock most of the karacters all the kontent.

That isn't all that is new! Karacters like Frost make their debut with a variety of assaults to lay upon your opponents and Test your Sight, a new mini game poking fun at the returning Test your Might.

Graphically this game has improved immensely since the release of Gold and features of karacters are much more noticeable such as a long drawn chin or short and chubby.

Fighting as changed drastically allowing every karacter 3 fighting forms. By Pressing L1 these kan be changed in a flash allowing you to perform some wicked Kombos. Some styles are Crab and Judo. Also, every fighter has a weapon that kan be accessed by L1 as their third Fighting style allowing kruel punishment.

Old Elements

Almost nothing has changed over the last 11 years, but graphics and storylines. Sadly Lieu Kang has been killed in this sequel, but Remaining karacters such as Sub Zero and Quan Chi are available for the taking.

Of kourse fatalities still remain and are much easier, but sad enough to say their is only one fatality per fighter. Specialty moves have changed but a bit. They are alot more simple to input, but it is great to hear "Get Over Hear!" from scorpion or watch Bo Rai Cho Puke to make an opponent slip. Kombos are much more needed and harder to pull of, just landing the impact kan kause some pretty good damage.

An almost forgotten part of MK makes a kome back, the mini game Test your Might (as I mentioned before), this kan be frustrating at times, but it adds to the playtime of this game and the delight of smashing items like metal.

The Rewards of Success

Well, as if buying this game wasn't rewarding enough in the game after kompleting a level in Konquest, wagering to a friend, or defeating the opposing karacter you gain "Koins" Which allow you to purchase items in The Krypt.

Klosing... I mean Closing the game sticks in my head

All in all this is a terrific game and demolishes the opposition of next gen. fighting. So go Out buy or rent the game for your self and have the wonderful experience. Round 1 Ready! Fight!

Overall Rating of the game: 9

This game is a complete perfection. Graphics are astonishing. Controls are unreal. This game has a magnificent replay value. It makes you drool for more.

Number of Players: 1-2
Call your friends for the greatest time and wager your koins to prove your the best.

Online Play?: Unfortunately No ... but rumors are floating of soon to be Mortal Kombat online play.
