Dragonball Z Episode
191: The Fight is Over! Thank You, Son Goku
(original, Japanese episode)
The two blasts from Cell and Gohan approach each
other, causing the Z fighters to seek cover! The blasts meet at equal force,
then widen, sending Mr. Satan and his followers flying. The shaking is so bad
the people in the cities think it is Judgment Day. Cell increases his power and
his wave begins to overtake Gohan’s, and the boy drops to a knee. Goku tells
his son there is more power left inside of him and to not give up and he can
win. Gohan reaches deep down and fires back, equalizing the wave of Cell, and
then slightly overtaking it. Cell says that will not be enough to defeat him
and again powers up, overpowering Gohan once again. Goku realizes the weak link
in his son, Gohan is worrying about hurting the planet with his blast, so he
tells Gohan to not hold back anything and concentrate on Cell alone.
Piccolo sees his young friend struggling and
cannot restrain himself anymore. He flies off and joins the attack on Cell,
firing his corkscrew laser that just bounces off Cell’s back. Cell sends a
blast of his own that sends the Namek flying, but Piccolo refuses to give up.
Tienshenhan powers up as well, saying he will not just sit there waiting to
die. Yamcha agrees and tell Krillin to watch over Trunks as the two head off to
join the fight. Krillin takes a last look at 18 and joins as well as Vegeta
watches. Gohan continues to struggle as Piccolo fires his laser again, along
with Tienshenhan, Yamcha, and Krillin adding their ki blasts. Goku tells Gohan
to try harder as Cell increases his own power, the waves from his body sending
the other Z warriors flying. Gohan sees Piccolo hurt and gets another surge of
energy that makes his wave stronger than Cell’s, slightly overtaking the
enemy. Piccolo says he refuses to let Gohan down since he was his first true
friend. Krillin admits the old him would have given up by now, but Goku and
Gohan have changed his life and made him a better man. Tienshenhan says Goku
was his hero and inspiration, and without him, he would never be there
fighting. He refuses to let Goku’s son die. Yamcha also promises to protect
Gohan, and he and Tienshenhan attack Cell once again. Vegeta can no longer
stand watching and powers up. Another wave from Cell’s body sends Yamcha and
Tienshenhan flying, but Piccolo and Krillin step in, followed by the other two
a third time. However, Cell again shrugs them off with another increase in
energy. His Kamehameha is about to overtake Gohan, so Goku tells his son he
still has something left. Out of nowhere Vegeta fires a shot that distracts
Cell, and Goku yells, “Now!” as Gohan puts everything he has into his
blast. The power is enormous and overtakes Cell. The monster can see the boy
walking toward, as his own body begins to break down. Gohan’s wave connects,
and it vaporizes Cell as it heads into outer space. Completely exhausted, Gohan
falls to the ground, as the Z warriors realize Cell is no more. The five
fighters come to Gohan’s side, Chi-Chi celebrates, and Goku admires his son
from Snake Way. The long fight is over and the earth is saved again… for now.
