Nintendo GameCube
Nintendo has always tried to uphold it's image as "just a toy company", and in an effort to continue to do so, the GameCube is a physically "appealing" system with it's small and light cube design that comes in many different colors. It also features a wacky controller that has many different buttons arranged in an even more wacky manor. Much different from the bulky N64 controller that served us so well in the past. This system is the "youngest" of the 3 next generation consoles in existance. It most features a library of videogames aimed at younger audiences with franchises such as "Smash Brothers", "Star Fox", "Luigi's Mansion", "Mario Sunshine", "Pikmin", "Animal Farm", etc., Even the "Legend of Zelda" franchise has been lowered to a younger target audience for the system. Games like Zelda will no longer be large 3D adventures, but will now be 2D-Cartoon-Shaded Interactive Cartoons. Although the console isn't exactly meant for older audiences it does have some fun games you can enjoy with the family like "Wave Race" and "Kobe Bryant NBA Courtside." Pick this one up for the younger kids, they'll enjoy the overly cutesy and sappy rantings of Pikachu or the crazed capers of Luigi in a haunted house armed with a flash light.
