Tenshinhan and Tao Pai Pai
At the Budoukai arena, it seems as though Muten Roshi learns that Chaozu lost, but compliments the others for doing well. Bulma tells him that's the to be expected, when Yamcha told him that there is something about Chaozu's opponent. Krillin tells him that it's Tao Pai Pai, Tsurusennin's younger brother! Muten Roshi asked if he really did say Tao Pai Pai, also saying that Goku has killed him! Krillin explains that he is very much alive, but half robot! Yamcha clenches his fist, saying that he wants to kill Goku and Ten, who by the way is Tao's first opponent. Muten Roshi then pondered over this, saying it's no good, because Tao knows all of Ten's techniques. Goku then got high spirited, telling them it doesn't matter! Everyone asked what he meant, making Goku say that Ten is stronger than him. Just then, an old voice came up, saying that's too confident of him to say. Everyone looked to see a smiling Tsurusennin! Krillin yelled that it's Ten's old teacher! Tsurusennin cackled, telling Krillin not to shout, but to just go home, before he gets a beating. Muten Roshi then explained that those three students of his and Ten's are not his pupils or disciples, that they have surpassed his own power even. Tsurusennin then asked why they still wore his colors, making Muten Roshi say that that is the honor they chose to give. Krillin then grew angry, asking if Tsurusennin gets it yet? Krillin confessed that Kamesennin is a man of respect, unlike Tsurusennin. Tsurusennin then turned his back, explaining that they should leave before they die, because after Tao's operations, he is an invincible robot. Bulma then grows red with rage, saying that he's just an old fool. Goku then smiles and tells everyone that Tao Pai Pai is not all that strong. The announcer then calls for all the fighters in the finals to please come to him now, because they will start up the finals immediately. Muten Roshi then gave one last piece of advice, saying to fight with all their strength and let nothing surpass them. He finally gives ends it by saying that they are the best of the best and wants them to never stop. Bulma then tells everyone to do will, while Puar tells Yamcha to win it all! After they left, Kamesennin said that there's a problem. This time, they can't see anything. Oolong then says that there is too many people in the way. Kamesennin says he can't see, while Lunch asks how will they get there? Bulma then gets an idea, pulling some weed and scratching it on Lunch's nose, telling her excuse me! Lunch then sneezes, turning evil, making Bulma ask if they can get closer?

Lunch holds onto a bullet, saying with pleasure! She then starts to fire wildly in the sky, asking everyone to move out of the way! While walking, Krillin asks Goku why he said that about Tao Pai Pai when he knows he wants to kill him. Why did he say that everything would be all right? Goku smiled back, saying that Tenshinhan can take care of himself and is stronger. Krillin then asked how would they mess with his master, making Goku say that they can eat out. They can eat a bean that with one will fill them up for ten days. Krillin and Yamcha both smiled, making Krillin ask if he means senzu? He tells him that him and Yamcha already know that! Goku gets surprised, saying that they know about it! Yamcha tells Goku that him, Krillin, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu all climbed the tower to reach Karin. Krillin continues from Yamcha, saying that they all stayed there and got training! Goku clenches his fists and smiles’, saying that is awesome! Krillin told Goku that they met a man named Yajirobe and persuaded him to come to the Budoukai, but haven't seen him yet. Yajirobe then came out of the bushes when they were gone, saying that's easy, because I was defeated! The announcer then welcomed everyone to yet another fight. He goes on to say that today is the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai! Everyone starts to cheer, with the announcer asking for the first fight to start, which is between Tenshinhan and Tao Pai Pai! He then asks for both fighters to come, making Goku tell Ten good luck!

Tao Pai Pai walks out with him, saying that he is relived finally to kill him at this competition. He doesn't have to worry anymore, since he is half dead, as well as Goku. He finally concludes by saying that he will win this and he will just walk away the loser! Everyone in the audience is surprised to see this, with Lunch yelling for Tenshinhan to hurry up and beat him! The announcer then yells out for the match to begin! Tao Pai Pai then asks if he's ready, making Tenshinhan say yes. They both get in a stance, with Tao Pai Pai saying that's good, since he will win easily. Yamcha, Goku, and Krillin stare on, with only Goku smiling. Tsurusennin then tells him to make Ten suffer. Tao Pai Pai then rushes Tenshinhan, getting ready to chop his arm. Ten gets ready, moving over to his left and hitting Tao Pai Pai to the ground. Tao falls with ease, while Krillin gets surprised, as well as Tsurusennin. Goku must have been the only one smiling. Tao slowly got up, but when he started, he starred at Tenshinhan and once he was fully up, he started laughing, saying he got a lucky hit! But this time, he shall no longer be lucky! Tenshinhan then told him he forgives him for what he did to Chaozu. Tao then smiled, telling him to not be so cocky. Tenshinhan performed the after image and came behind Tao, telling him that he can easily do it since he is much stronger than him, making Tao surprised!
