Microsoft XBox
Microsoft led by "Mr. Monopoly Guy" Bill Gates has finally gotten tired of Computer Gaming and is now trying to leave it's mark in the Videogame Community. Microsoft has taken it's PC knowledge and released the Xbox which is basically a PC fitted into a small box. The problem with this is that Microsoft has failed to target an audience, the system is just out there with no real direction. It has titles like DOA3, Halo, UFC, Madden, Max Payne, NBA Live for older audiences, but they sorta left teens and younger kids out of their plan. The system does not have a great selection of games to go along with it's massive power. Make no mistake, XBox on paper is the most powerful console, but in reality it lacks game support. Going the way of Sony, they have tried to implement the wonder of online play into the system, unfortunately the system only supports "Broadband" which costs alot more and is not available in all areas. Microsoft even followed the trend of adding a DVD Player into their console as well, unfortunately the DVD Player does not work right out of the box. No pun intended. You have to purchase an add-on kit in order to use it. Xbox truly is a system of "BIG things". The console is big and heavy, the controller is big, and the steps in technology is big too. Get the XBox if all you care about is graphics, and dont really need breakthroughs in games.
