Gohan's Vengeance

Chapter Four: "Where is the Beast? The Hunt Begins"

So there Gohan was, sitting alone on his father's bed. His mother said to wait until they had said their final goodbyes. So he did. But was it right? Was this the thing to do? He pondered this thought until he saw a silhouette in his window.

Oh no…he's come back for me! Gohan thought.

But when the figure stepped inside the window, Gohan felt a blanket of relief. It was Vegeta.

"C'mon, boy…lets go find him," Vegeta said blankly.

"Hold on, just a sec." Gohan went to search for his pack. He found it, and then quietly stepped into his mother's room. He kissed her on the forehead. And walked back into his room. Vegeta was standing there, peering at Gohan's computer.

"This earthling computer is nothing like the one I had in my Saiyan-Pod!" Vegeta bragged. Gohan and Vegeta powered up and flew into the midnight air.

"How did you know that I've seen him?" Gohan wondered out loud.

"Chi-Chi told me you ran off when I came over the other day. I knew you went looking for him," the Prince answered.

"He flew that way," Gohan pointed to the East.

"What are you? Stupid?" Vegeta asked a bit annoyed. "You know he won't stay in the same place for long."

"Well, how're we going to find him, we can't sense his chi," Gohan told Vegeta.

"Shit! Those Red Ribbon bastards keep spilling out those damned Androids like they come off an assembly-line!" Vegeta hollered.

"He said he was the 22nd android: the brother of Cell," Gohan informed Vegeta.

"Well, we could sense Cell's chi, why can't we sense him?" Vegeta asked.

"I don't know, he must be mechanical, like the other androids," Gohan answered.

"You don't know that," Vegeta chuckled rudely.

"You bet I do! I'm not just a little kid anymore, Vegeta! My dad taught me how to train my senses to differentiate between people's chi! And I didn't sense anything!"

"Well, you'll need to remember every ounce of your training for this fight, my boy," Vegeta laughed.

"Don't you think we need to go inform Krillin and Yamcha?" Gohan asked a little later.

"We don't need their weak powers!" Vegeta laughed quietly.

"Yeah we do, remember how we beat Cell! They all helped out!" Gohan defended.

"This isn't Cell, boy," Vegeta said in a lowered voice.

"I don't care. I'm going to go get them," Gohan yelled as he flew away.

"UGH!!! Stupid child!" But Vegeta followed.

They flew in the direction of the Kame house, but met Krillin, Yamcha, Tienshinhan, and even Chioutzu.

"I assume we're all going to the same place," Tienshinhan said in a monotone voice.
"We don't need you!" said Vegeta hurtfully.

"Ah, screw you, Vegeta!" Yamcha gritted.

"Wanna back those words up, softy?" Vegeta snarled back.

Chioutzu's tiny voice broke in: "Later guys! We have some business to take care of."

"Wait! I almost forgot!" Gohan yelled. He told them all about the way #22 had no chi, and what he looked like, and where he flew off too.

"Well, we'll just have to find him the way we found the other Androids, the path," said Krillin frankly.

"What path?" Tienshinhan asked.

"The path of destruction!"
