Summary:

Wake Up Number 17 and Number 18
Piccolo, Krillin, and Tenshinhan fly onward with chi surrounding their bodies with their flight and staying silent. Piccolo asks finally how much further until Northern Capital? Tenshinhan yells back that it's right over there and Krillin yelling there it is! They see a huge town with mountains surrounding it, with Tenshinhan saying that the caves are down there, but which mountain out of all these? Piccolo says that they will just have to split up and search and if you find the cave, let everyone know. Krillin is listening, but complaining about how cold it is, freezing himself to death. Krillin asks as he warms himself up to how should they let everyone know? Piccolo suggests to raise your chi really fast, making Tenshinhan say he understands. Krillin yells at Ten if he has any money, because he wants to buy a coat. Ten yells at him to butch, because he, Tenshinhan, is cold too. Piccolo calls both of his comrades inconvenient earthlings, but if they don't hurry, number 17 and number 18 will be activated! Krillin then calls for both of his fighters to come to him, saying he wants to give them senzu.

He tells they have six left, so they each get two. After handing them out, Vegeta and Trunks are looking now, but they're out of Super Saiyan. Vegeta finally yells back to Trunks if he plans on following him forever, but to just get off! Trunks yells back he won't, if he wants to fight the androids. Vegeta smiles when he asks what will he do if he finds the lab, since he will have to fight the androids, after going through him, Vegeta. Trunks says he just might, but he keeps saying that, that he, Vegeta, has no clue how strong number 17 and number 18 are. Vegeta gruffs him away, saying that the more his son says that, the more he wants to fight, because he is pure blooded Saiyan! Vegeta screams finally it doesn't matter, but where is the cave!? Number 20 watches Vegeta and Trunk fly, while he stands under trees, saying he knew they would come, but they won't find the lab so easily. He runs more, telling them both silently to just waste time, because they will die soon enough! Number 20 looks up and smiles, seeing a hole in a cave, telling himself that that's that! He jumps up, landing on a cliff and seeing the door.

His detector picks up a life force, making him wonder who it is. He looks to see Krillin, floating there with a stupid look on his face. 20 shrugs him away, saying it's only Krillin and walks to door, also saying he can't do anything. Krillin tells himself finally that he found him! 20 punches in a code, opening two metal doors, and yelling to Krillin that if he calls his friends now, it would be too late! Krillin tries to raise his power, saying he has to hurry and call his friends. He pushes his chi harder and harder outwards, yelling for everyone to hurry and come! Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Vegeta, and Trunks all look towards Krillin's direction. 20 is inside his lab, seeing three pods leaning against the wall and on one on the ground, as well as other pieces of mechanical equipment scattered around. He walks up to 17 and 18's pod, telling himself he didn't want to use them, but he has no choice. 20 looks in 17's pod, where a young boy with black hair awaits, saying to himself he hope's their fixed. He punches in a code again, watching the door slowly open and letting 17 come alive. 17's eyes begin to function, as 20 asks if he number 17 is awake? 17 walks out finally, as Trunks predicated: black hair, scarf, black shirt, white pants, and tennis shoes. 17 looks down, seeing 20 holding a remote, then tells Dr. Gero it's a good morning.

20 gets surprised, saying that was a very polite greeting, making 17 say it's mandatory, since he, 20, gave him, 17, life. Dr. Gero gets excited, saying he's fixed them! He tells 17 it's time to wake 18, which the pod comes up as well, revealing a blonde-haired woman, jean vest and black shirt, with jean skirt and black pants, with boots and a stripped long-sleeve shirt. 17 makes 18 notice Dr. Gero and they appear to be twins, with their eyes, foreheads, noses, and mouths. 18 looks down, seeing the remote, then bids a good morning to Dr. Gero. She says that he notices he has become an android. Dr. Gero explains he wanted eternal life. He gets down to business, saying to both that he was worried about them both, because both of them were connected with their mechanisms to an eternal energy furnace, and since he gave too much energy, the controls of them didn't respond well. Dr. Gero further explains that that's not the only problem, but that their body functions couldn't do well and didn't obey commands. He explains that they will work now, having to kill Goku's friends. 17 and 18 say they both understand.

He hears a bang at the doors, telling them both that they're here! Krillin and Tenshinhan band themselves against the door, saying the gate's tough! Piccolo finally explains he will destroy it. Dr. Gero laughs evilly, until 17 takes the remote from 20's hand, making Dr. Gero ask what is he doing!? 17 holds up the remote, asking if this is remote that cuts off their energy, just in case? 17 crushes the remote, making 20 ask what was he thinking, if this is some sort of sick joke!? 17 bends down his head with an evil look, telling Dr. Gero he would not allow him to go to sleep again, old man! Piccolo's hand pointed at the wall, ready to attack, with Vegeta yelling to hurry and kill the androids or he will kill the Namek! They then hear Dr. Gero yell for number 17 to stop this stupid joke and kill the enemies at the door! Tenshinhan becomes scared straight, while Krillin does as well, but saying the androids are activated!
