Dragonball Z Collectible Card Game

Ten of the Best Cards, In My Opinion

In the ever-changing environment of this wacky game known as the dbz ccg, new cards are popping up all the time.  Often, a lot of good cards are over looked and replaced with the favorites such as time, resistance etc.  There a lot of underrated and over looked cards, and these are my pick for the ten most over looked/underrated cards.

10:
Android 20's search pattern.
This card has many great possibilities; you just need to find them.  The most obvious is setting any discarded card in the discard pile on top of the lie deck, allowing for you to reuse time, sphere or recovered an un-used halt or cells threatening position.  The other goof thing is you get to look through their deck and pick out one card.  Easily remove one of those stupid omni-blocks or sphere.

9.
Black searching technique
This card is like the one above, but you don’t have to name the card, plus you get two of them out of their deck.  Nifty, huh?  And remember, when your picking cards out and removing them from the game, that is also lowering their life deck, bringing the end just a few cards closer.  And, also, like search pattern, take a nice long look at the inner workings of their deck.

8.
Stunned
This card is a nice one for those of us attending die-con 2, the piccolo regional tournament.  With this, the opponent cannot attack you, block your attacks and their card power is null and void.  The down side is that it only works against trunks, Krillin and Piccolo.  Plus, they can still end combat, search for dragon balls and what not.  This card is nice when combined with CPH, because it renders the completely helpless, and that means lights out for them.

7.
No really? Drill
This card is a little goodie from the Frieza saga which I find extremely useful in many situations.  Are you playing a drill deck fearing namek ball 4?  Well, not with no really? Drill.  Are they annoying you by powering up to full with Dende db's?  You know what to do.  This is a bane to all ball decks, and an unexpected one too.

6.
Vegeta's Dragon Ball Capture
This works nice by itself, or used in conjunction with the card above.  After playing this, take two of their db's and place them back at the bottom of their deck, taking their victory that much farther away, and if no really? Drill is in play, when the ball resurfaces, its power is inactive, to my understanding.  Nice trick, huh?

5.
Master Roshi's Island
Getting tired of decks getting away with those blasted named cards like android 18's stare down, android 20's search pattern and trunks energy sphere?  Well, put a stop to it by using this, all named cards will cost 2 life cards to play, and that is a big hindrance.  With the introduction of focused attacks, the emphasis can be taken away from named blocks like Vegeta's physical stance, Goku's super saiyan blast and Cell's defense and put on single blockers and make you easier to handle it when this card is put down.

4.
Cell smiles
This baby is great in android 18 decks or saiyan decks.  Use 18's stare down and this to remove those goodies from their hand them lay the smack down!  The only downside is that the chosen card is shuffled back into the life deck.

3.
Android 20 lv. 1 cell saga
Android 20 is over looked but in the hands of the ever popular ally deck, you can make the pain even more painful by using this baby as an energy attack doing 8 life cards just with the androids in play, or pump it even further with masteries and drills.  I guess this old guy has some fight left after all.

2.
Krillin's Solar Flare
An energy attack and if successful they cant play ANY physical combat card!  Too good to be true, eh?  Well, it is.  This is good in energy decks and physical decks.  Seeing lots of physicals coming from you, the opponent will drop energy defenses, leaving themselves favor game for this puppy, but in energy decks, can prove helpful by either eating defense or preventing you from a physical beating.

And last but not least...

1.
It’s just not worth it!
Having trouble finding cash for WTLTH?  Bummed out over the banned TTEH?  Well, this is a nice alternative.  It prevents them from winning by anger or dragonball for their next 2 turns!  That should give you just enough time to give a beating, steal a ball or knock them down to level 1 using CTP.  This is a nice little 2 in one defense that is often over looked like every other card on the list.

Next time you buy a booster pack or starter deck, look over every card carefully after throwing it aside, because it may be a gold in the presence of coal.
