Dragonball Z Episode 204: A Great
Thief! And the Culprit is the Great Saiyaman!
(original, Japanese episode)
Goten and Gohan are searching for a
baby dinosaur named Chibi that hatched from his egg two days ago.
Meanwhile, Mr. Satan is watching old film of his fights at the Tenka
Ichi Budokai when Videl approaches him. She says she is looking
forward to fighting in the tournament but asks her father about the
champion before him. Mr. Satan says it was Son Goku and he used some
sort of stupid tricks to win. No one knew who or where he had come
from, but Mr. Satan guarantees he would have defeated Goku had he
competed that year. Back at Gohan’s house, a news report is being
played on the television about a man named Musuka finding a monster
and it will be the feature attraction at the circus the following
Sunday. Goten identifies the monster as Chibi. Chibi was kidnapped and
is going to be put on display, but Gohan will not let this happen. The
next day, Gohan goes to the circus and sees Chibi’s act, as the poor
monster is being whipped repeatedly. Gohan talks to Musuka and asks
for him to release Chibi, but he refuses, saying the monster is
bringing in the money. Gohan is furious and demands the release of
Chibi, but he again refuses. Gohan realizes that the parents of Chibi
are probably looking for him, and they could wreck the city if they
came looking. Gohan changes into the Great Saiyaman, and then sneaks
into the back of the circus, freeing Chibi from his cage. An employee
of the circus sees the theft and tries to stop the Great Saiyaman by
attacking him with a pole. He avoids the rod, and then takes it from
the man and bends it into a bow so he can’t use it. Musuka is
alerted of the theft.
The Great Saiyaman makes his escape
with Chibi on his back and flies away. However, Chibi is scared of
flying so the Great Saiyaman is forced to land and walk, but the
police are hot on his trail. He runs in front of a diesel and causes
it to jackknife, cutting off the cops. Videl is next to arrive and the
Great Saiyaman pleads with her to let him return Chibi to the
mountains or something terrible will happen. She tells him to give her
the monster or she will take him by force. More policemen arrive along
with Musuka. Gohan doesn’t know what to do, and he really doesn’t
want to fight Videl. A huge crowd has gathered now and watch the
events unfold. Videl attacks the Great Saiyaman, but he dodges her
moves, and then surprises her by putting her into a full nelson. As
the two are fighting, Musuka makes his move and recaptures Chibi. The
Great Saiyaman again pleads with Videl to let him return Chibi or
something really bad is going to happen, but she thinks it is a trick.
Chibi then starts to whine, distracting the fighters, and the monsters
arrive to claim their baby. The police open fire on the angry
monsters, and the Great Saiyaman pleads with Videl to stop the police,
the monsters are only there for their baby. Videl grabs Chibi as the
Great Saiyaman screams at the monsters. Caught up in the moment, he
yells that he is Gohan. Videl now knows the true identity of the Great
Saiyaman. Tottoo, the blue monster, lands since he recognizes Gohan.
Musuka refuses to relinquish Chibi and grabs a gun and shoots at
Tottoo. Gohan deflects the bullet, but the gunshot upsets Tottoo and
he attacks Videl. Gohan punches Tottoo and knocks him out. Gohan grabs
Tottoo and Chibi and flies off with the pink monster following. Videl
takes care of the police and the angry circus owner. Gohan returns to
the mountains and is greeted by Goten aboard Kinto Cloud. Goten is
happy to see Chibi as the monsters return to their home. The next day
at school, Videl confronts Gohan since she knows his secret identity.
She asks if Gohan was the Golden Haired Warrior as well, but Gohan
says no (even though he is). She asks if Gohan is competing in the
martial arts tournament and mentions Son Goku, asking if he is his
father, and Gohan can’t hide it anymore. Videl promises not to tell
anyone about Gohan’s secret if he will enter the tournament and
teach her to fly. Gohan accepts her demands as his misfortunes
continue.
