Summary:

The Dragon Balls Change Hands
Earthlings now have made peace with Namekians, that of Krillin standing amongst the Namekian leader. The Great Elder knows of the predicament, that he feels his children dying, which puts grief on him, and that these villains seek the Dragon Balls. The Great Elder confesses that he would have never dreamed his spheres of hope, the wisdom of Namek, would be such a tool for horror. Krillin interrupted, saying he hates to cut him off, but if he, the Great Elder, gives him the ball, he can protect it with his life. Dende tells him to do that also, that if the people of Earth gain their wish, then peace may come back to Namek, and their Dragon Balls may come back. The Great Elder gets confused, asking how can there be Dragon Balls on Earth, unless a Namekian went. Krillin tells that that is true, that he's heard that a long time ago, Namek was in a crises, so one got in a spaceship and came to earth. The Great Elder yelled out that it must have been the child of Katatz, but never knew that such a young child made it so far. The Great Elder did say that he was a scion of the Dragon Clan, those who made the Dragon Balls. The Great Elder gets back to the point, saying was the child killed or died of old age? Krillin told he was killed by a Saiyan, named Vegeta, who's on this planet. The Great Elder only repeated the name Saiyan, that it is terrible that has happened, the prodigy of the Dragon Clan killed. The Great Elder asked if this Saiyan was a Super Saiyan, making Krillin ask what is that? The Great Elder asks Krillin now if he could come to his side, which Krillin does obey, and the Great Elder putting his hand on Krillin's head. The Great Elder told that he will just look through the past, making Krillin very confused. Images arouse inside the Great Elder, making him say that there are now two, because evil entered him from long ago.

The Great Elder only said that was foolish, for that if he been together, he might not have died. Krillin repeated about them both being together, while the Great Elder reached behind him, because on top of his chair was a Dragon Ball. The Great Elder told Krillin that it's alright, that his intention if pure, so he will give up the Dragon Ball, but he will probably not get his wish. Krillin asked why is that, making the Great Elder say that his life is slowly diminishing, allowing him to live for only a few more days. He requests though, to retrieve the Dragon Balls from the evil ones, so they may not get their wish, because when he, the Great Elder, dies, the Dragon Balls will disappear. Krillin grew upset, saying he understands, then yelling that it cannot be helped now, so he will protect this Dragon Ball with his life! Krillin yelled it's better than them having eternal life, making the Great Elder say please do that. The Great Elder told that he cannot move any more, so if the Freeza gets here, Nail cannot even defeat him. The Great Elder smiled now, saying that Krillin is very strong for an earthling, but has incredible sleeping power inside, which he can awake. Krillin got confused, asking what does he mean about inner strength? Krillin watched the Great Elder put his hand back on his head, saying that he can't have inner strength, because he trained so much, and has probably gone past limitations already! Krillin then gains a tremendous power up, feeling a huge aura around his body, and when the Great Elder is done, he tells Krillin that he hopes that they can escape evil now. Krillin still has an aura around his body, saying that this is awesome, never feeling this much power before in his whole life! He holds up the ball, yelling it's like he's reborn, then repeating loudly thank you! He then gets an idea, asking if the Great Elder can do this to little kids, like, if it shortens his life or anything? The Great Elder is still smiling, saying that he has only awakened what was asleep, and can take any power out, even from a child. Krillin asked if he could bring a friend here, because he feels he has power that is really asleep!

The Great Elder told him to bring the child here, that they need all the help they can find. Krillin asked he'll bring him right away, but what to do with the Dragon Ball? The Great Elder told to take it, that the future of the planet is with him. Krillin told Dende to wait, and he'll bring Gohan right over, but be careful too! Krillin flew off, yelling that this is incredible, never feeling so much power before in his whole life, and could bring Gohan here in only a few hours! He flew off, making waves smash and rocks crumble. Elsewhere, Gohan trained by himself, while Bulma played around with the Dragon Radar, until noticing something. She then told Gohan to come look, making Gohan see that a Dragon Ball from far away is moving, and is heading straight here, but is it Krillin? Gohan yelled that it has to be, coming back from the Great Elder's, with the Dragon Ball! Bulma then asked if that's the case, then what's this? She told that there are five here, Freeza's, but there's also one by itself! Gohan said it is close, right around over there, pointing off in one direction. Gohan then yelled that that's the place where Vegeta attacked that one village! Gohan did say then, that he doesn't feel Vegeta's chi, making Bulma yelled that he attacked the village, but couldn't find the ball! She yelled that he must have thought it wasn't there, so he went off! Gohan asked for the radar, saying he can get it! Bulma yelled that luck is on their side, while Gohan flew off, saying it's their chance, that they're no scary chi around!

Back at Freeza's ship, Vegeta was now hooked up to a rejuvenation tank, with Zarbon and the other alien watching him. Zarbon folded his hands, saying he would have never thought to tend to a traitor, but how long is it until he can continue to talk and tell where the Dragon Ball is? The other alien said that he suffered lots of damage, so it might be another half hour until he can regain consciousness. Zarbon told he can tell Master Freeza then, leaving the alien with Vegeta. The alien walked up to tank, saying that even Vegeta will tell where the ball is after Freeza's persuasive interrogation! Vegeta then opened his eyes, making the alien scared straight, until his death came by Vegeta shooting a large chi blast at him, and ripping off his medical equipment! The alien flew back and dissolved into nothing, as Vegeta said thank you, but it's a pity that you underestimated his healing powers! Zarbon is now with Freeza, with Zarbon yelling what was that sound, making Freeza say it cannot be! They then both run quickly, yelling it's Vegeta! Zarbon yelled it's impossible, that he got away! Vegeta was well hidden, away from the blast, saying that it's good Zarbon is with Freeza! Freeza yelled at Zarbon, to go after Vegeta now! Zarbon cursed loudly, while Vegeta ran off to Freeza's main quarters, saying it's good now, they think he left! Vegeta finally made it, saying it's good, the Dragon Balls are here, and that Freeza's plan has finally backfired!
