Summary:

Tenkaichi Budoukai
At Capsule Corporation, Bulma asks what did Gohan mean, by participating in the Budoukai? Gohan tells the tale of how Mr. Satan's daughter forced him to, who is in his class. Bulma gets off the motorbike she was working on, yelling out Mr. Satan's name. She asks if that was the guy who "fought" Cell in the Cell Games and became "champion?" She goes on to ask if his daughter is really in his class? Gohan says it's true, but she's very nice. He explains that she can't hold herself back when fighting bad guys, but has found out his identity because of his voice. Bulma calls him an idiot, saying he will never be like his father with mistakes like that. She asks if Gohan wants to have different helmet then with a different voice? Gohan says he really doesn't one, going on in explanation that no protective head gear, a helmet, can be used, but something to hide an identity can help. Bulma smokes her cigarette, telling she can't have him wear a helmet, but something to conceal his identity would be easy.

She gets him a bandana to hide his hair and sunglasses to cover of his eyes, making Gohan say this is great, and yet, didn't know it was this simple! Gohan stood proud, looking at Trunks and asking if he thought he looked cool? Trunks just said he wouldn't say, while Bulma said the obvious that Gohan would win easily with no competition. A familiar voice came up, saying he would fight that. Vegeta then said that he would go in the Budoukai or whatever it's called, just because Gohan's going, he'll go too! Gohan lifted up his sunglasses, asking if he was serious? Vegeta told Gohan that a long time ago they were very far apart, but what about now? He boasts that while Gohan has been living easily, he, Vegeta, has trained every single day. Bulma said that that's true, plus his father is the same, so maybe he can't turn Super Saiyan 2? Trunks then got excited, asking if Gohan and his dad were going to fight?

Suddenly, without warning, a voice so familiar, yet so old came to them, telling Gohan and Vegeta he wants to come too! Gohan looked up, saying it's his father, that that's his voice! Gohan smiled and looked up again, asking if that was his father? Vegeta only looked around the room, yelling for Kakarrot! Goku, in the Other World, said it was him and it has been a while! Gohan asked loudly how has he been, with a Goku touching Kaiousama's back, saying he's been doing really well, even though he's in the afterlife and dead. Gohan couldn't wait any longer, asking if he really was coming to the Budoukai? Goku got excited, saying he asked Urani Ba Ba to see if he can come back one, to the Budoukai! He asked if Gohan and Vegeta will be there, then he will too! Gohan got excited and started cheering, while Trunks asked who was this? Vegeta grew serious, saying that everyone should get ready, because he's been training ruinously. Goku explains that he has too and wants to meet at the Budoukai, as Bulma said it's good, plus Chi Chi, Goten, and Krillin should know about this too.

Gohan said that's good, when Vegeta told himself this would be fun! Gohan then pointed at his clothes, telling Vegeta he should dress up like him, because he needs to hide his identity. Vegeta grew red with anger and embarrassment, yelling he would never do it! Gohan flew up into the sky, saying he would tell everyone else, as Bulma and family waved good-bye. Gohan flew straight to the Southern part of the world, where he saw Krillin, full of hair! Krillin asked if Goku was really coming? Gohan explained to the reader's that after Cell, Krillin decided to stop shaving his head. Kamesennin, a girl, and number 18 were all outside now, with Kamesennin saying that it's been a while for Goku. Krillin then thought if he should really go, because if Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta go, it'll be really hard to win! Gohan told them to do it, since prizes will be awarded to the top five! 18 asked how much money, making Gohan say that first is 10 million, 2nd is 5 million, 3rd is 3 million, 4th is 2 million and 5th is 1 million zeni.

18 demanded for Krillin to try, since she would too! Krillin asked if he should, when Kamesennin asked silently if he should too. Krillin then interrogated Gohan, saying to not let Piccolo know about this, because he wants a shot for fifth! Gohan blushed, saying he would never do that. Krillin got confused, but then asked why is Gohan wearing some weird outfit? Gohan asked what was he talking about, that this is the latest fashion! Gohan then waved good-bye ad saying it too, that he would be off! At Kami's Palace, Piccolo said that it would be fun, as a matured Dende said it too. Piccolo then decided he would go, making Gohan ask Dende if he wanted to? Dende refused, saying he wasn't a fighter Namek. Piccolo then asked Gohan why is he wearing that ridiculous outfit? Gohan whined, asking why did he ask that, since he thought it looked great! Gohan is now flying, saying he can't find Tenshinhan and Bulma will get Yamcha. Gohan flies happily, saying that his mom will be happy to hear his dad is coming and it will be the first time Goten will see his dad too! Gohan then thought to himself, wondering if his mom would really allow him to go to the Budoukai? Gohan pondered a long time, saying he really wants to win, but hasn't trained in a while. Going further, he would have to skip school to train, or he won't learn how to fight well. At home, and night, Chi Chi screamed out loudly if Goku was coming to the Budoukai and why wasn't she informed earlier!? Chi Chi leaned to a hungry Goten, saying he would finally meet his father!

Chi Chi became really happy with tears, exclaiming she's really old, and that people in the Other World don't age, so could she use a facelift? She asks if it's been seven years already, while Gohan peered slowly at his mom, asking if he could go too, and that the winner gets 10 million zeni. Chi Chi yelled out loud that the winner gets 10 million zeni!? She screams that he absolutely will, since between him and his father, that'll be 15 million zeni! Gohan says that they may not win, making Chi Chi yell that the defiantly will win! Gohan suggests that he take some school time off, making Chi Chi say that there is always time for school later! Chi Chi praises herself, saying that this is a supreme gift, that the memory of Goku isn't gone. Gohan, however, is relieved to hear these words of training from his mother. Gohan, in bed, asks Goten in his bed if he would help him train, making Goten say okay. The next day, Gohan is ready and dressed, saying he will go Super Saiyan first. He transforms, looks at Gohan, and tells him that he's ready! Goten puts his fist in the air, saying it's awesome!
