Summary:

Mrs. Videl Learns to Fly
At a training area, Gohan explains to his students that he will teach them both how to fly, in the art of Buku! He explains that it's just nothing but chi control, and with time, they will experience great speed with flight. Videl asked what is chi control? Gohan tells her that her family may call it something different, but basically it is the power or energy from deep inside the body. Videl is gets confused, asking what did he mean by "power!?" Goten said it's this and pointed his palm at a rock, shooting chi at it and blowing it up. Gohan watched it explode, telling them that it surely is a powerful thing. Videl is very puzzled, saying she understands now! Gohan asked what does her family call it, making Videl say that they call it a trick. Gohan smiles and says it's not a trick, that this is the real thing. Videl screams loudly that this has to be magic, because she can't do it! Gohan is upset now, saying she doesn't know anything about chi, so this will be a problem. Videl whined, asking if there was a way to fly without any chi, making Gohan explain that it's alright and everyone has it, but controlling it is hard. Videl asks if that's true, while Gohan explains to Goten that he can go off and play, so he can teach Videl the basics of chi. Goten finds a snake and plays it with it, while Videl says she's not strong at all! Gohan explains that she must first just relax and focus the mind. Videl complains she can't concentrate at all! Around noon, Gohan, Videl, and Goten go back and eat lunch.

Videl thanks Chi Chi for the food, as Chi Chi replies back it's okay, but quietly says she knows that there's more than training going on. Videl woofs lots of food saying it's really good, better than what her chef makes. Chi Chi gets confused, asking what does she mean by a chef or if she owns a restaurant? Videl explains that her chef is hired, making Chi Chi very impressed, asking if she was rich? She also asked how many rooms did she have, suggesting ten or twenty? Videl counted, saying she has probably around fifty. Chi Chi became enlightened with money, saying she really is rich! She then happily asks when is she going to marry her son!? Gohan spits his food abruptly, making food fly everywhere. Back at training, Gohan is sitting on the ground with Videl, telling her that she has it now! Videl has her hands in a ball, controlling chi. Videl stands up happily, asking if she can fly now!?

Gohan looks up at her, saying that's not going to happen yet. He explains she has to be where she can control her chi freely! In the Other World, Goku is training as well, with weight on his wrists and ankles. Goku punches the air quickly, then giving it several kicks and flies around. Another person comes, asking Kaiousama if he's training his student the old fashioned way? Kaiousama welcomes West Kaiou, while West Kaiou asks if this is the best the North Kaiou can do? He asks how much is he lifting, making Kaiousama say just about two tons. West Kaiousama becomes alarmed suddenly, saying two tons!? Kaiousama asks if he's surprised, making West Kaiousama say he isn't...really... He then suggests his fighter called Papo! He explains that there is no one comparable to him! Kaiousama asks if that's true, because there is a tournament on earth in the North Universe, where Goku will participate.

Kaiousama says if Papo is really that good, he should enter. West Kaiousama says that's true, because he's sure to win! Kaiousama then yells for Goku, asking if he wants more? Goku stops his training to look down, asking how much more? Kaiousama suggests ten tons, making West Kaiousama ask if he really did say ten tons!? He exclaims that that's impossible! Goku is reluctant as well, asking if he really thinks ten tons would work? He says it's way too much, making West Kaiousama smile and say that he's right, because it's impossible! He suggests that this North Kaiousama is such a joker! Kaiousama then tells Goku that he may use the Super Saiyan method, making Goku say that's no problem then! West Kaiousama gets confused, while Kaiousama tells West Kaiousama to go ahead and change it to ten tons for him. West Kaiousama yells that he will change it to ten tons, but then hesitates, saying he'll make it forty tons instead!

Kaiousama tells him to just hurry up and do it! West Kaiousama then waves his hand, telling he's not responsible for injuries. The bags on Goku's wrists and ankles become really heavy, but Goku charges up his golden aura, then changes into Super Saiyan. Goku moves around with ease doing several kicks, saying this is really easy! West Kaiousama is speechless while smiling, but then Kaiousama tells West Kaiousama that the tournament on earth is in 28 earth days, so be sure to tell his fighter about it. West Kaiousama tells him that he thinks his fighter won't go in such a petty tournament after all. West Kaiousama walks off, chuckling a bit, telling Kaiousama he'll tell his fighter, but he'll probably say no! Kaiousama then gives the two finger peace sign, while down on earth, the sun is setting on the day, and Videl has finally got her feet off the ground! Gohan yells loudly that she's done it and floated a little bit! Videl demands silence, saying she can't concentrate! Videl floats back down with barely any energy, with Gohan happily reporting that she's done this in one day!

They look up to see Goten whizzing around like a fly, with the little brother saying that he's got and asks for his big brother's opinion! Videl gets flustered, making Gohan say that Goten is used to controlling chi, so it's not as if they both are on the same level! Videl then tells Gohan that she will come back tomorrow, making Gohan dumbfounded. Gohan teaches that the training is practically over so she can just do it on her own! Videl says that she wants to learn more about chi, plus is she bothering him? Gohan gets flustered, saying that she isn't! Videl grabs her capsules out, making a plane appear and saying good-bye. Gohan says good-bye as well, but Gohan stops her quickly, wanting to tell Videl something. Videl asks what does he want, making Gohan say that her hair needs to be shorter.

Videl gets confused, but then blushes and holds her hands together, putting on a sweet smile and asking Gohan if he likes short hair on girls? Gohan lectures her, saying that that isn't it, but at the Budoukai, it would be better to have short so it wouldn't blind you or allow someone to grab the hair. Videl becomes angry and then yells out that is none of his business! She jumps in her ships and flies off, making Goten ask why is she so angry? Gohan exclaims he has no idea, but it seems that their plans are messed up now. The next day, Goten sees a girl, asking who is she? Gohan gets confused as well, as Videl with a super short haircut has arrived, telling them that she's ready to continue! Gohan just hunches over in disgust, saying he will never get her.
