Summary:

The Great Climb
Now that Goku has been knocked out by Tao Pai Pai, Tao is free to steal his Dragon Balls and go back for his reward. However, Goku's Kamehameha has destroyed his clothes, so he needs to get a new set before heading back to HQ. He picks up his pillar, but Upa has second thoughts. He wants revenge of the death of his father and friend, so he tries to throw a rock at Tao. Tao sees it, blows a gust of breath, and hits Upa back. Upa starts crying, make Tao laugh, saying he should be lucky to be alive. Tao the throws the pillar up in the air and flies off. Red sees Tao flying, knowing that he has completed his task on the radar. However, something is strange on the radar. He got three balls, instead of four, and is not heading back in their direction. Red is completely clueless what is going on, and wants to know what is. At a tailor shop, Tao hands a blue print of what his clothes look like, while Tao says for him to make no mistake. Tao wants to know how long it would take, making the tailor say just about a week. Tao tells him he has three days, no more. The tailor is surprised at the man's request, but Tao clears his mind up, by saying if he has ever heard of Tao Pai Pai? The tailor starts bursting into sweat, saying that three days would be absolutely no problem. Tao then asks for a phone, making the tailor point it in his direction.

Tao calls up the Red Ribbon, wanting to speak to Red. Red asks what is Tao doing way out the other way, while Tao tells him he will return in three days, while also saying that the enemy is dead. Red then yells at him, saying he did not finish the mission, since he only got three of the four Dragon Balls. Tao looks in the backpack, seeing that he is speaking the truth. Tao realizes that one ball must be carried on a person and will go back to get it. Red doesn't mind the three day wait, as long as the brat is dead and gone. Red then smiles to Black, saying that they've won! Black agrees, saying it was a good idea to hire Tao. Upa, now having buried his father, cries that he wished he was stronger. He then confirms that he will have to dig a grave for Goku and starts digging. About a little bit into it, Goku starts to move, making Upa yell that he is alive! Goku gets up and his Dragon Ball falls out where he got shot. Goku sees it, thinking that the Dragon Ball saved him from the shot. Goku looks at it, thinking his grandpa saved him. Goku asks Upa if that dirt all dug up is his father's grave, making Upa say yes. Goku then looks at his ball, saying that he will wish back his father with the Dragon Balls then! Upa asks if he can do that, making Goku say that Shenlong said he could grant any wish! Upa then tells Goku that the bad man took all his Dragon Balls, so he has to go get them. Goku plans out that he thinks that the man must have missed this ball and will be back for it. However, Goku is way to weak to fight him, and needs to get stronger fast.

Upa then suggests that he try to climb Karin tower! Goku questions it, making Upa say to do it even more. Goku looks at the tower, saying that there's supposed to be a medicine to make him stronger, so he will get it. Goku looks up it, saying it would be so much more easier to use Kintoun, but he has to climb. Upa tells him that the hermit makes sure he climbs on all hands, making Goku think for a bit. Goku then decides that he will do it! Goku wraps the Dragon Ball to his side and tells Upa that the guy will be back for the ball, so he had better hide. Goku then braces himself, saying that he will be gone for a while. Goku then jumps up and jumps up more and more, until Upa cannot see him anymore. Goku climbs and jumps higher and higher, up the endless tower. Goku still climbs and climbs, until he accidentally slips. His tail catches him, making him think that he he should take a break. Goku climbs more and more, until night time approaches, making Goku miss his food so badly. Goku is still climbing, until he decides to take a nap. The next morning, Goku still climbs, high and higher, until he thinks he sees something. He climbs and climbs, until finally, he sees it! The top is very near in sight!
