A Drink of Water
Goku can't believe his ears, hearing that it took Kamesennin three years to get
the water, and he's the best fighter Goku knows! Karin ask him how many years it
will take him, making Goku say he can't wait that long. Karin explains if he
can't wait, then he should hurry up, which would end all his problems. Goku then
warms up, saying he's ready once again. Goku jumps in the air and then performs
Zanzouken, but many split images. Goku flies around the room, making Karin
understand about his attack. Karin then goes in for the attack, thinking he
found the shadow. Karin misses, making Goku yell out that he's behind him. But,
to Goku's surprise, Karin has created a shadow too.
Goku falls to the ground, making Karin ask him why he didn't think he couldn't
see that? Karin then thinks to himself, that this boy is good, since he's never
seen so many shadow images before. Goku asks him why he so out of breath, making
Karin explain he's at a very high altitude, so the air is thinner. Karin knows
that he will teach him many things, making Goku ask what he's talking about.
Karin thinks out loud, that climbing this tower for Goku has been good for his
lungs, making Goku feel good about himself.
Karin then holds up Goku's Dragon Ball, saying he needs a little more exercise,
making Goku surprised to see his ball in Karin's hand. He yells for it back, but
Karin just throws it off the side of the tower. Goku screams so loud, plenty of
people can hear him yell out why he did that!? Goku climbs down, hoping that the
Red Ribbon hasn't gotten it. Upon arriving, Goku sees the ball, and grabs it. He
starts his climb back up, and upon arrival, asks why Karin did that!? Karin asks
he if liked the extra exercise, explaining the first time, it took him about
half a day, but now it only took three hours, round trip. Goku looks at his
hands, saying that he is right. Karin tells him to go back to training and try
to take the vase now.
Goku tries again, but Karin tells him that he has gotten better, but needs to
build up more strength to keep up with him. Finally, night time comes, with Goku
practically passed out already, and Karin saying he wants sleep. Karin, asleep
with the flask on his cane, on his arm, is very out of it. Goku wakes up in the
middle of the night and sneaks over and just about grabs the flask, but then
pulls his hands away, saying he wants to get it truthfully. He then conks out,
while Karin, awake, is glad to have an honest student, which is a change from
his old master.
The next morning, Goku tries to get the flask again and again gaining more and
more strength. Finally, Karin is almost hit by Goku, making him fly backwards.
Goku flies along with him, with Goku trying to get the flask. Goku tickles
Karin, making him laugh and let go of his staff. Karin curses himself, but Goku
is ready to get the staff. He jumps over the side, with Karin yelling that he'll
fall and it's not worth it! Goku grabs it, but is nowhere in sight. Karin looks
over the side, only to see Goku's tail wrapped around the ledge. He pulls
himself up, yelling that he finally got the flask! Karin thinks to himself, that
he only spent three days up here, and has finally gotten the vase.
Goku then asks if he can drink it, with getting Karin's approval. Goku opens it
up and then takes a swig. He looks at himself, saying he doesn't feel different.
Karin tells him he shouldn't, since it's ordinary water. Goku yells at him,
saying that he tricked him for doing that! Karin laughs, saying that he didn't
trick him, but his strength has much improved. Goku has no clue what he's
talking about, so Karin explains that keeping the water away from him and
climbing the tower were part of strengthening him. Karin then allows him to go
back down and perform good works out of hi training. Goku smiles at Karin,
saying that he won't let him down. Karin smiles at him, waving good-bye, with
Goku doing the likes. Karin, when Goku gets far away enough, says that he may
have already out down his mentor. |
