Dragonball Episode 91: Krillin's Great Offensive

(original, Japanese episode)

Kuririn charges up a KameHameHa, while the floating Chaozu charges up a full power Dodompa.  Jackie Chun, "Kuririn! You just learned the KameHameHa! It won't work against a full power Dodompa!"  Chaozu finishes charging up, and fires a huge Dodompa at Kuririn.  Kuririn simply leaps over the blast, which causes a huge explosion in the ring.  Chaozu looks around in confusion.  Kuririn suddenly appears in the air behind Chaozu, and fires the KameHameHa, scoring a direct hit on Chaozu.  Kuririn cheers, and Goku happily states that Chaozu is falling out of bounds.  Chaozu manages to regain control, and weakly floats back toward the ring.  Kuririn, "Damn, I was so close!"  Jackie Chun thinks that if Kuririn had already mastered the KameHameHa, it would have instantly defeated Chaozu.  Chaozu lands back in the ring, breathing heavily.  Tenshinhan, "What an amazing strategy."  Bulma, "I never knew Kuririn was this good!"  The angered Chaozu decides to get serious, and removes his cap.  TsuruSennin, "He removed his cap!"  Tenshinhan, "Looks like the match is over."  Kuririn leaps in with a kick, but Chaozu leaps over it.  Chaozu floats into the air, and starts spinning around at high speed.  The spinning Chaozu dives at Kuririn, head butting him to the ground.  Kuririn gets up, saying he can head butt too.  Chaozu catapults off a wall, and comes back at Kuririn with another spinning head butt.  Kuririn also leaps headfirst at Chaozu.  Their heads slam into each other. Kuririn is the unlucky one, and drops back to the ring in pain.  Kuririn comments on Chaozu's hard head.  Chaozu dives in with yet another spinning head butt for the final blow, but Kuririn suddenly leaps out of the way.  Chaozu slams headfirst into the ring, creating a hole.  Kuririn laughs, "He self destructed!"  He is suddenly surprised when Chaozu leaps back out of the crater unharmed.  He wipes his nearly bald head with a towel, making it shiny once again.  TsuruSennin, "Ha! Chaozu's head is as hard as diamond!"  Chaozu starts spinning again, and leaps back at Kuririn.  Goku yells for Kuririn to watch out.  Kuririn blocks Chaozu's head butt, but starts to get pushed to the edge of the ring.  Just before Kuririn falls over the edge, Chaozu stops spinning and leaps back.  Kuririn says the same trick won't work on him again.  Tenshinhan can't believe that Kuririn blocked it.  Kuririn lunges at Chaozu and tries a kick, which is dodged.  He manages to land a punch to Chaozu's gut.  Chaozu blocks a punch and kick from Kuririn.  Goku cheers Kuririn on.  Kuririn rushes back in, but Chaozu suddenly thrusts his hands forward, using his mind powers to freeze him in place.  Kuririn feels a great pain in his stomach, and Goku asks what's wrong.  Jackie Chun comments on the strange power Chaozu is using.  TsuruSennin telepathically tells Chaozu not to knock Kuririn out of bounds, but to kill him slowly.  Kuririn asks if Chaozu is using mental powers.  Chaozu kicks Kuririn, sending him slamming into a wall and the ground.  Goku yells for Kuririn to get up.  TsuruSennin, "Chaozu's mind powers can't be countered!"  He looks over to Goku.  "I'll get him next."  He remembers all of the times he had with Tao Pai Pai (it basically shows them sparring, and sitting at a table). Chaozu pummels Kuririn with a barrage of kicks, knocking him back to the ground.

Kuririn throws a punch, but Chaozu suddenly kicks him out of the ring.  Kuririn's neck breaks as he slams into a wall. Yamcha wakes up from the nightmare, and wonders if Kuririn is in danger.

Back at the tournament, Chaozu pummels Kuririn with even more kicks, sending him to the ground.  Kuririn, "My head isn't a soccer ball!"  He realizes that the source of this psychic hold comes from Chaozu's hands, which means he must disable them somehow.  Chaozu prepares to attack again, but Kuririn suddenly asks him what 3+4 is.  Chaozu stops to count on his fingers, freeing the hold on Kuririn.  Kuririn punches Chaozu in the gut.  TsuruSennin is angered, and Goku cheers.  Kuririn lunges in for another attack, but Chaozu once again freezes him in place.  Chaozu asks what 16+27 is, and Kuririn immediately yells out that the answer is 43.  Chaozu is shocked.  Kuririn asks what 9-1 is, and Chaozu starts counting on his fingers again, freeing Kuririn.  Kuririn punches Chaozu out of the ring, winning the match.  He tells Chaozu that the answer is 8.  TsuruSennin and Tenshinhan are angered.  Goku leaps into the ring and congratulates Kuririn.  Bulma and the others are happy.

Later, at Papaya Hospital, Yamcha congratulates Kuririn.  Kuririn says it was all a battle of brains.  Bulma asks him what 130,000,000 + 904,203,271 is, and Kuririn frantically counts on his fingers.  Bulma tells him that the answer is 1,034,203,271.  Kuririn, "Okay, I'm not as smart as you are!"  Everyone laughs.

The sun sets, and at a hotel, TsuruSennin is teaching Chaozu math.  He asks what 1+ 2 is, and Chaozu replies that it is 3.  TsuruSennin asks what 9-6 is, and Chaozu starts counting on his fingers, eventually coming up with 3.  TsuruSennin whips Chaozu, telling him not to use fingers.  Chaozu apologizes.

It is night time, and in another hotel, Goku, Kuririn, and KameSennin are asleep (apparently the tournament is taking yet another break! It's all anime only filler since Toei was supposed to make each episode from only a single manga chapter during this saga. And that's not a lot to work with.)

Back at the other hotel, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, and TsuruSennin are also asleep.  TsuruSennin gets up and leaves.  Tenshinhan is awake, and watches him.  In a night suit, TsuruSennin leaps through the city, arriving at the opposite hotel.  He slices open the glass and puts his hand through the hole to open the sliding glass door.  This is the room of Goku, Kuririn, and KameSennin.  He approaches the sleeping Goku.  TsuruSennin throws a punch, but Goku (still asleep) shifts to the side at the last moment, causing a hole in the pillow from the punch.  Goku awakens, and barely dodges another punch from TsuruSennin.  KameSennin and Kuririn both wake up in surprise.  TsuruSennin leaps out the window, followed by the angry Goku.  Kuririn gets ready to follow.  KameSennin tells them to stop, but Kuririn also leaves, causing KameSennin to fall off his bed.  Goku chases after the fleeing TsuruSennin, but quickly loses him.  Kuririn catches up with Goku.  TsuruSennin leaps in and throws a couple kicks, which Goku and Kuririn dodge.  TsuruSennin knees Kuririn in the gut, but he manages to flip back safely. Kuririn, "This guy is fast!"  Goku, "I've smelled this guy before..."  Kuririn grabs TsuruSennin from behind, but gets tossed away, taking off the disguise as he goes.  Goku is surprised to see that it is TsuruSennin, and asks what he is doing here.  TsuruSennin says that he is here to avenge his younger brother, Tao Pai Pai.  Goku, "I had to kill Tao Pai Pai! He was a bad guy!"  TsuruSennin, "Apologize to him in the afterlife!"  They prepare to fight, and Goku tells Kuririn not to interfere.  Goku and the Crane Elder lunge at each other, ready to attack, but Tenshinhan suddenly leaps in and blocks both blows.  They all land, and TsuruSennin tells Tenshinhan not to get in the way.  Tenshinhan, "Master, I will take care of Goku!  I will beat him at the tournament!"  TsuruSennin is confused.  Tenshinhan continues, "It would be more humiliating for him to lose in public.  I'm sure this is the way Tao Pai Pai would have wanted it."  TsuruSennin agrees.  Tenshinhan, "The Turtle School would be humiliated, and the Crane School will rise up!  Please, leave Goku to me."  TsuruSennin lets him.  Tenshinhan thanks him, and tells Goku that he will avenge Tao Pai Pai.  Goku vows to avenge Yamcha.  Tenshinhan, "Don't lose before you get to me!"  Goku, "Right!"  Now Goku and Tenshinhan plan to meet in the Final Match!  Goku's match is tomorrow, will he be able to keep his promise and reach Tenshinhan?
