Goodbye My Friends
Well, all good things must come to an end, and I
feel it is time for me to leave the site I have called home for over two and a
half years. I joined this site in
late November of 2000 basically on a whim as I was searching the web for DBZ
information. I was a relative
newbie to the DBZ community and somehow stumbled across DBZGTLegacy.
I figured I knew enough about the series and decided to send in an
application for the staff, and much to my surprise, I was hired the next day.
I had no idea what I was in for. Over
the next two years, I had many things happen to me because of this site.
I met a few voice actors, and have become good friends with Kyle Hebert,
I met a lot of fans that visited the forum, had some folks I had never met in
person come to Dallas and go to A-kon with me, and met and gained the respect
of other top site webmasters and fans alike.
Slowly this site became one of the best on the net, and I could not have
been more proud to be deemed one of the elite sites.
I am still humble when I actually talk to fans online because I know the
site isn’t a success because of me. It
is a success because of all of you fans, and because of the dedicated staff
Legacy has had throughout the years.
Now
what will happen to Legacy since I am leaving it for good?
I honestly don’t have any idea. I
have told everyone on numerous occasions that I do not own the domain.
Kevin is the site owner, and he can do what he pleases with this site.
I have a feeling he will do three things.
One, he will replace me and everything will continue like normal.
Two, he closes the site. Or
Three, he will take down this splash and let the site stay up.
I guess we will all have to see what happens.
However,
if you were a huge fan of the dedicated staff we had here on Legacy, you
won’t be missing us for long. Mandrew,
Daniel Kurland, The Switcher, and myself are all heading over to a new site
that deals with every anime. This
new site is called Kiji-Anime.
This site has gathered the all-stars of the web community and put them
all on one site. The owners of
this new site are Brandon from Saiyanz-Rage,
Deano and Frank from DBGTN, and myself. Staff
members include Mandrew and TheQuestion from SpiritDetective.com,
Steve from KyleHebert.com, Switcher
and Daniel from Legacy, and Bowl from Ryu-Ken.
We will all be reviewing ANY anime we come across and also allow you,
the fans, to voice your opinions on the site and the forum.
I really hope all of you fans come and check it out.
Before
I say goodbye, I just wanted to thank some people that really helped Legacy
become such a success:
Kevin
– for hiring me and letting me work on the site.
James,
Brock, Larry, and Tom – The original staff that helped push Legacy to the
top.
Seexy,
Switcher, Mandrew, and Daniel – For adding more content then I could ever
imagine and making us number one!
Kyle
Hebert and Steve – Two of my biggest supporters and great friends.
Link,
Hak, and GohanIdz – For all of your hard work and dedication to the forum.
To
everyone in the forum – I can’t thank you all enough, the true Legacy fans.
Anyone
that has ever IM me – Thanks for all the kind words and keeping me motivated.
Sarah,
Jack, Jon Allen, Megan, Jessie, and John – My A-Kon crew.
And
then to all you fans that keep coming back to Legacy, you all deserve all the
credit for this site’s popularity.
The
forum will still be open, so if you want to continue to talk to DBZ fans, I
suggest you head on over to it at http://legacyforum.dbzn.net/.
Well
everyone, I was honored to work on this fantastic site, but now I am off to new
things. Please come visit me at Kiji-Anime
or if you like, you can still email me at Tim@kiji-anime.com
or reach me by AIM at KijiAnimeTim. Goodbye,
and take care.
