Summary:

Let the Contest Begin!!
Goku and Krillin train on, going through the zigzagging trees, to the steps of the monk's home, and threw the quick sand to deliver milk. Along the way, Krillin asks Goku if he thinks Kamesennin will teach them fighting moves, while Goku runs on from the dinosaur, telling Krillin he thinks he won't until they move the rock. So, days turn into weeks, and weeks into months, until the tournament is one month. The two seem to have progressed much more than any fighter in the world, which Kamesennin has noticed. Goku, one day, runs to Kamesennin's house, yelling for him to come quick. He drags him out and pulls him along, until they reach the boulder. Kamesennin asks what he wants about a rock, until Krillin yells out that they can move it. Kamesennin starts to realize what the mistake is for him, while Goku runs up to the giant rock, pushes with all his might, and moves it along. Kamesennin starts to stare, jaw-dropped, while Krillin tells him that he can do it too, but not as far. Krillin shows off his strength, making Kamesennin go bug-eyed. Goku then yells out that Kamesennin can now teach them fighting moves.

Kamesennin starts to wipe the sweat off his forward, telling himself that he was just joking about that, when he tells them that there isn't anything more that he can teach them. Kamesennin confesses that they have been working on moves the whole time, with focusing their minds on their muscles, while even strengthening their brain. Kamesennin explains that they will need to train harder, since they need to become stronger than usual, focusing on becoming the strongest in the world. He concludes by saying that he will teach them nothing new, but go on as usual. But, they will wear turtle shells with twice the weight! On the construction zone, Krillin asks Goku if they can really reach the top finals of the tournament, while Goku replies that only eight can join, so it may be tough. So, on they train, until the tournament is just one day away. Kamesennin tells them that they will travel to the south and they can take off their turtle shells now. Krillin and Goku both sigh of relief, wanting to not have the shells on their backs when they get there. When they take them off, they realize that they can't feel their own weight.

Kamesennin requests if they can jump as high as they can, while Goku and Krillin soar straight up in the air, and flying down, to notice that they really have gotten stronger, with yells of excitement. Goku and Krillin run around, making Kamesennin upset, yelling at them to hurry up or they'll miss their plane. They both dress up in suits then, gathering into the car, waving good-bye to Lunch, and go off on the plane. Along the ride, Goku asks how metal can fly, also expressing it's slower than Kintoun. Kamesennin, also, sneaks a rub against the stewardess, making her yelp. After the plane, they get a taxi and go off to the tournament signing up arena. Kamesennin points over to Goku and Krillin, telling the person to sign up to that they are not spectators, but fighters. Goku and Krillin start to get nervous, seeing all these people, while Goku also admires that there are lots of people in the world.
