Dragonball Z Episode
205: Goku's Resurrected as Well! He's coming to the Tenka-Ichi Budokai
(original, Japanese episode)
A news report is shown on the
television with a video clip of a plane flying over the city and it
appears to be in trouble as the engine explodes, but the Great
Saiyaman is there for the save. The news crew tries to interview the
Great Saiyaman, but he will not say anything. Instead, he jumps on top
of the plane and does a lot of ugly poses while spouting out that his
mission in life is to prevent injustice. Gohan then heads over to
Bulma’s and reveals he is entering the Tenka Itchi Budokai. Bulma
asks why he is entering and Gohan tells her about Videl and how she
discovered his secret identity. He asks Bulma for something to replace
the helmet he wears because they are banned in the tournament. She
makes him a large white bandana to use, which Trunks thinks is ugly
along with Gohan’s clothes. Vegeta overhears the conversation and
tells Gohan he is entering the tournament as well. Then another voice
shouts out that he is entering too. It’s Goku speaking from the
dead! Baba, the fortune telling Granny, has given Goku 24 hours of
life so he can compete. Gohan is happy to hear from his father, and is
ecstatic to learn that Goku will be at the tournament competing.
Vegeta is happy too, as he will finally get the chance to face
Kakarotto. Gohan tells Vegeta that he should also get a costume to
conceal his identity, but Vegeta flat out refuses to wear such ugly
clothing. Gohan then heads out to tell the others the good news.
Along the way, he spots two thugs
terrorizing a girl in a high-speed car chase. As the Great Saiyaman,
he stops the thugs, but as he is introducing himself, the girl kicks
him in the head and knocks him down. She yells at him for interrupting
the show for Satan City as the director yells, “Cut”. Gohan is
completely dumbfounded. Gohan watches on as a movie about the Great
Saiyaman is being filmed. The actor is afraid to do the flying scene
and Gohan starts laughing. Since Gohan is dressed as the superhero, he
is substituted into the movie to do the scene. He starts doing his
usual poses and spouting his lines, but the director says its all no
good and to start over. After many takes, Gohan can’t get it right
according to the director. They change to the flying scene and hook
Gohan up to a harness to fly, but Gohan realizes he is running late
and flies off, breaking the harness. As he leaves, the director
realizes he was working with the real Great Saiyaman.
Gohan’s first stop is Kame house to
tell Krillin and Roshi about Goku. He tells Krillin to enter the
tournament, but Krillin doesn’t know what the wife will think.
Krillin’s daughter, Marron, comes out of the house followed by
Krillin’s wife, Android 18! Gohan mentions the prize money for the
tournament, which prompts 18 to enter her husband and herself. Krillin
asks Gohan not to tell Piccolo because he will lose the fifth place
money, but Gohan can’t make that promise. He bids farewell and heads
for the lookout tower. There, he informs Piccolo and Dende of Goku’s
return, and Piccolo decides to enter the tournament. He leaves the
lookout and heads for home to tell his mother and brother about Goku’s
return. Chi-Chi is very excited to hear the news and can’t wait to
see her husband after seven long years. Gohan then mentions the prize
money and Chi-Chi flips out, saying Gohan must train to win! After
harping at Goku for so long about Gohan fighting and not going to
school, now she wants Gohan to leave school and fight! The next
morning, Gohan and Goten begin the training as Gohan powers up to
Super Saiya-jin 2.
