Are You Single? Find Love

Humble Beginnings

Part Two

This section explains how each and every character from DB/Z/GT was introduced into the series. It can serve as a great reference guide on any character's origin, and might fill in some things you did not know. In addition, the episode number is included (maybe I'll update it with manga chapters someday as well)

22. Commander Red - He is first seen in his chair, giving an order to someone to find all the dragonballs at all costs, after which his cat squeals. The narrarator introduces him as the leader of some dark new force. (DB:30)

23. Colonel Silver -  In the first episode of the Red Ribbon Saga, he is seen riding a tank headed towards a village, where the six-star ball is believed to be held. He raids many of the homes in the village looking for the ball. He eventually comes across an antique store, where he is given a fake ball. The store owner is killed - but the real ball was hidden on the roof. (DB:30)

24. Assistant Black - Although he is heard giving several orders to Silver in the first few episodes, the first time we see him is when a soldier notifies him that the five star ball is headed away from Silver's position. Silver later reports back to Black, saying he was defeated by a child who also managed to capture the five-star ball. (DB:34)

25. General White - After White hears from the RRA base that there is a boy with the five-star ball flying a plane towards his region, several soldiers report a crashed plane nearby. However, there is no sign of a boy, so White orders his troops to find the boy no matter what. (DB:34)

26. Suno - This young girl finds a frozen Goku near a crashed plane. She drags him back to her home through the snow so he can warm up. (DB:34)

27. Murasaki the Ninja - He is first seen in shock, after Goku makes it past the second floor guards in Muscle Tower. He watches the Goku vs. Major Metallatron fight with White, to see if Goku will face him on floor 4.  (DB:36)

28. Village Leader - This old man sits in his top floor cell, contemplating what will be with his people. He is brought food, although he refuses to eat - that is, until he smells the cocoa... (DB:38)

29. Android #8 - He waits in his cell, General White's secret weapon. But when called upon to destroy Goku on floor 4.5, he refuses, saying he hates violence! Murasaki is about to destroy him with a remote, but Goku stops him, saving #8 and making a new friend. (DB:38)

30. Dr. Briefs - Goku travels to Bulma's house in West City, to ask her to fix the dragon radar. While there, he meets Dr. Briefs, Bulma's father. At first, Dr. Briefs thinks Goku is the policeman who escorted Goku to Capsule Corp. The old scientist later fixes the policeman's motorbike, although he made it a little too fast.  (DB:44)

31. Mrs. Briefs - Bulma is busy showing off her shrinking-watch to Goku, when Mrs. Briefs steps on her 5-inch tall daughter and offers Goku a drink. Bulma yells at her for the next 10 minutes (she was in a bitchy mood that day). (DB:44)

32. Hasky - This master thief, hired by the RRA, is shown riding towards West City on her motorbike. When she arrives, she is confronted by her two assistants, who have just been beaten up by a small bay with a tail, after trying to rob him. (DB:44)

33. General Blue - Combing his hair before a mirror, Blue is confronted by a soldier, who tells the general that the three-star ball has not yet been found. Blue orders another soldier to death, for picking his nose. He is then told that the boy who defeated Silver and White core is headed towards their island. (DB:46)

34. Arale - One day, in the normally peaceful Penguin Village, several people are watching a chase in the sky, a small boy on a cloud chasing a airship. Blue, in the airship, tricks Goku into getting too close and turns the blasters on, causing Goku to fall. He lands next to the little girl Arale, who helps him go search for General Blue and the dragonballs. (DB:55)

35. Bora - This strong Indian lives with his son at the foot of Korin tower. Fishing with his son one day, he notices some RRA planes overhead. After a volcano erupts, Bora comes across the four-star ball, and is confronted by the RRA. (DB:58)

36. Upa - Bora's son. After learning how to fish with his father, he is nearly killed by a few volcano rocks, but Bora saves him. Bora then protects him from several RRA soldiers wanting the four-star ball. (DB:58)

37. General Yellow - After searching a forest for the four-star ball, Yellow's troops find it inside a volcano. While trying to retrieve it, the volcano erupts, and the ball flies into the hands of an Indian man, which Yellow then attacks. (DB:58)

38. Tao Pie Pie - The RRA seems to be having trouble capturing Goku, so they bring in Mercenary Tao, the strongest assassin in the world, to do the job. Tao tells Red that his price is 10 billion zeni - but he is having a 20th anniversary sale, so the price is only 5 billion. Just then, Blue returns to the base a faliure, and Red decides to try Tao out on him. Tao kills Blue with only his tongue. (DB:58)

39. Korin - After Goku loses his fight with Tao and surrenders three of his dragonballs, Upa tells him that if he climbs Korin's tower, he may be able to drink the sacred water and gain strength. Goku does so, and after reaching the top, demands the water. However, Korin tells Goku he must catch the water from him first. (DB:61)

40. Colonel Violet - The first RRA officer to be given the dragon radar as a tool, she easily finds the seven-star ball at the bottom of a lake. Later, her boat is confronted by a sea monster, which she feeds two of her men to without blinking. Later, she gives another soldier up to an Indian tribe, then flies back to the RRA base.  (DB:65)
