Chapter 12: The Failure of the Mode

"You're bluffing!" Nappa hollered. "You gotta be! I'm the strongest! I'M THE STRONGEST!!!"

"Cool down, my friend," Vegeta's voice was calmer and less angry than Goku had ever seen; his voice was barely louder than a whisper, "You will get your chance to test your potency against the mystical supremacy of the Electric Super Saiyan."

"Why wait?" said Raditz. "I didn't come here to sit around all day!" And with those words he bolted foreword.

"Don't you even get it?" And Vegeta held up a finger and out came a huge electric wave, which froze Raditz in midair. Goku saw Raditz's silhouette slowly vaporize until there was nothing but particles of ash, and even that disappeared. The light died down and there wasn't even a trace that Raditz had ever been there.

"Stupid," Vegeta whispered.

Brolli quivered. He and Nappa were the only one who remained. What about our Saiyan Empire? He thought. What are we going to-?

"Goku!" Get it! The DNA!" This was the first time Vegeta had yelled sine he was an E-SSJ. Still his voice was somewhat calm.

"Wha'?" Then Goku understood. Brolli's DNA Bottle was hanging on his side along with the syringe.

"No! We don't need it! We can beat them without the DNA!" Goku figured.

"Foolish! Don't you want to become an ELECTRIC Super Saiyan?" Vegeta questioned.

"No…I don't care about that. Plus…it uses an incredible amount of energy! Already your ki has drained massively! Your power level is half of what it was when you killed Raditz!"

"Impossible!" Vegeta said. But he then realized what Goku was saying. His fur disappeared, his skin changed back, and he collapsed. Vegeta never woke up.
