Having one of the largest fanbases and widest variety of games, the Playstation 2 of course is one of the prime choices for a DragonballZ videogame. Not much has been shown accept for the above, early version concept photos. Note: The concept photos above are just that, they have not been assigned to a particular system yet, so will be displayed under all of the next-gen previews until a system is announced. Getting back on track, Infogrames being as ambitious as it is, has put their developers to work full-speed ahead on various projects.
Paul Rinde the Senior Vice Pres. of Infogrames released the following information, and it is all that has been officially released to my knowledge this far:
"Playstation 2 owners WILL get a test of the DragonballZ action in the fall of this year [2002]. This version though, will be completely different from the Nintendo games." I am guessing this has to do with the age group differences. Rinde goes on to say, "The level of complexity will be much different than in the GameCube game. The universe will be much bigger, it won't be part of a trilogy, and it will have its own storyline. It will be an action/adventure game with a significant number of fighting elements."

Like the GameCube version, the PS2 Title will feature over 30 playable characters, but the PS2 version will not just be a one-player game. Plans call for a multiplayer slugfest--arena style. I'd love to be able to have 3 friends over and have a 30-Man RoundTable Cell Game Tournament, that'd rule. Rinde hopes that once Sony finalizes it's online strategy (an up-and-running network), the game will support between 6 to 8 players who will be able to duke it out at the same time. The game will support multiplayer havoc offline as well!
