Dragonball Z Episode 201: The Lover of Justice, "The Great Saiyaman"

(original, Japanese episode)

Gohan arrives at Bulma’s to ask her for a costume to hide his identity, so she decides to build a device that will transform Gohan at a push of a button. Gohan asks where Trunks is and learns he is in the gravity room training with Vegeta. Trunks is happy to see Gohan. Vegeta emerges from the gravity room and is greeted by Gohan. Vegeta tells Gohan that he is wasting his body by not training anymore and has become weak. Gohan then plays with Trunks. Bulma finishes the device and Gohan tries it out. He thinks the clothes are cool, but everyone else thinks they are horrible. He then hops aboard kinto cloud and heads for home, but he decides to race his cloud across the sky instead. As Gohan (dressed as the Great Saiyaman) flies across Satan City, he sees a reckless driver causing problems on the road, so he lands in front of the car, causing the driver to slam on his brakes. The driver curses at Gohan. The two riders in the car ask who he is, and he responds "The Great Saiyaman." They laugh hysterically at the young man. The Great Saiyaman gets angry and stomps a huge hole into the ground, scaring the men. He then picks up their car and replaces it on the street. The two men agree not to drive that way ever again. Afterwards, Gohan arrives at the house still dressed up as the new superhero. Chi-Chi hates the clothes but Goten loves them. The next day Gohan flies to school as the Great Saiyaman to conceal his identity. Goten is then explained by the narrator as Goku’s six year old son with an uncanny resemblance to his father. Gohan arrives at his school; lands on the roof, and changes back into his normal self to go to class. The students are whispering about a new Champion of Justice but keep getting the name wrong. Gohan yells the correct name and gets in trouble. Videl gets a page from the police regarding a hijacking and rushes off to stop the criminals. Gohan is worried about Videl so he leaves class and changes into the Great Saiyaman.

The criminals continue to fire machine guns at the cops and then make their escape aboard the bus. The people on the bus don’t seem extremely concerned. Videl’s copter is seen flying in the sky as she chases the runaway bus. Gohan arrives on the scene as well and watches Videl at work. She runs across the top of the bus and dives inside, taking out the criminals easily. She forgets that no one is driving and the bus heads over a cliff. Just when everyone thinks their life is over, including Videl, the Great Saiyaman is there for the save as he lifts the bus to safety. They ask who he is and after a series of ugly poses, he introduces himself as the Great Saiyaman. He says goodbye to Videl and flies off. Videl wonders how the stranger knew her name. Earth has a new hero.
