Goku Central Website
Review
Site
Name: Goku Central
Layout - 3/10
Well, as much as I like the site, I have to say that the layout is extremely
poor, and something that I'd expect a primary school child to come up with. The colour
scheme isn't particularly fantastic, nor are the images, and the way everything is
displayed. Navigating through the site is often over-complicated and tedious too.
Content - 7/10
There's a lot of Goku stuff to be found here, and plently to keep you
occupied for vast periods of time. The information all appears to be detailed and
high-quality, and there is a lot of other...somewhat weird stuff to keep you busy for a
few hours.
Updates - 8/10
This site is almost updated daily, and whilst the additions tend to consist
mainly of reorganisation and small bits of extra content, it's still worth checking out
occasionally for new things.
Multimedia - 3/10
Unfortunately multimedia is another thing that this site lacks in, with only
pictures to make up what it gives away to other sites. Whilst there are a fair few of
these, the quantity and quality can't really compare with some of the bigger, more
succesful sites. There is a good range though, including scans and screenshots, so it's
definately worth and a looksee.
Originality - 7/10
Well, this is what makes up a great deal of the site, with quite a few
innovative sections that I haven't seen anywhere else before, including a site tour which
massively impressed me. There are also a lot of original sections in the 'other' part of
the site, with some good humor pages. Also there appears to be very little, if anything
taken from any other sites, making this something that has been worked on a lot.
Overall - 7/10
As far as character shrines go, this is easily one of the best, with some
great Goku information, and innovation in all parts. Every Goku fan should check this
place out, and even if you hate the Saiyan still have a look because some of the stuff is
done really well, and it's a pretty good site. The layout and multimedia lets it down
slightly but you can't judge a book on its cover, and a site isn't just about movie clips,
etc. Go check this place out! |
