Dragon Ball X
By Alex "The Dude" Davis-Floyd
Chapter Five
One week had passed since the team launched
from Earth, and life on the ship hadn't been easy. They had already
collected two more Dragon Balls from Mercury and Venus, and the trip
from Venus to Mars had been extra-long simply because they had to pass
by Earth to get there. Goku was perfectly ready to fill up that time
with nearly non-stop training with Jr. At 200 G's, the room seemed to
be burning up, as Goku sent a relentless barrage of punches at Jr. He
had thrown them so many times that they had become predictable for Jr.
But, all of a sudden, Goku threw a kick dead at Jr.'s head. He was
unprepared for this, and was knocked on his back at what seemed to be
a whopping 50 mph. He gently attempted to poke his head up from the
ground to ask Goku for a break, but was quick to find that Goku had
harshly slammed his skull to the ground with merely his toes.
"Bet you weren't expecting that, were you Jr.?" he said.
"No, unfortunately, but why can't I have a break? My dad is
checking his stocks and not training." "And some how that
cripples you from fighting, does it?" he replied sarcastically.
"Well, it doesn't, but I'm hungry!" "Good, so am I. Now
we can take a break." With this, Jr. gave Goku a look that a cat
might give to one pulling its tail. As the two super Saiyans finished
their meals, Ken announced that they were ready to land on Mars.
The soil was dry, but relatively cool,
because it was night. "I found it!" yelled Jr., at his
discovery of the four star ball. The whole crew was nearly peeing
their spacesuits when they heard this news. "Let me see it."
said Goku, looking over his Grandfather's last and most valuable
belonging. Sure enough, they were one step closer to summoning
Shenlong, with only three more balls to go, less than a week was left
until they could bring back Vegeta. "Hold onto this very closely,
Jr., it's very important to our quest." said Goku as he attempted
to hand the ball to Jr., but it was quickly snatched away by some
thing. The small Martian thief had taken the ball, and was heading
toward a nearby crater on the surface. The team yelled to give it
back, and Goku thought about using his high speed, but dismissed the
idea because it would rip through his space suit. Luckily, they got to
the crater before he did, and asked him to give it back. "Oh, no!
Jojo couldn't do that! It belong to Jojo's family! Jojo must take back
to throne room, or Jojo gonna be in deep dudu!" Goku, a master of
many languages, translated all this to the rest of the group.
Suddenly, the ball disappeared from Jojos hand. "Sorry!"
said Jojo as he jumped into the hole. The team followed him down the
hole for a couple of minutes before catching him. "Sorry, but to
get back orb, you must fight Musha, champion of Mars! I will take you
to throne if you like, but no further." The heroes followed him
to this throne room, where they met with fine oxygen, and lots of Martians.
It was decided to fight Musha for the Dragon Ball.
