Summary:

The Terrifying Message
Everyone still stood watching and waiting for Goku and their mystery messenger to stop talking, as Goku yelled out if Trunks was really fooling around?! Trunks replied no, making Goku grow silent, and say that he does see some resemblance now, then looking back and saying he can’t see HIM as a dad! Trunks tells that he will be born two and a half years from now, but did not use the time machine just to come and say that, that there is something really important for them to know. Goku looked over, asking what is it, as Trunks explains that in three years from now, on May 12^th, around 10:00 AM, two enemies will appear on an islands about 9 KM southwest from South City, that they are monsters beyond imagination. Goku grew concerned, asking who are they, aliens? Trunks denied it, saying they are androids of the earth, cyborgs, made from Dr. Gero, the chief scientist of the former Red Ribbon Army. Goku’s eyes widened, asking the Red Ribbon Army, with Trunks saying that after the army was crushed, he still continued research, and survived for many years. He asked what do he want, world conquest, with Trunks saying he doesn’t know, but that may be it. He then explained that Dr. Gero created two ultimate killing machines, Android 19 and 20, and they killed him! So now, only the androids, who love to slaughter and make destruction, remain. Goku knew the seriousness, saying that this boy was able to kill Freeza, but these things scare him?

Trunks said yes, that he has confronted them, and since there are two, he is fighting alone. Goku got confused, asking where are the allies, with Trunks bowing his head, saying there are none, that he, Trunks, is the only fighter left on earth. Goku stood in shock, as Trunks told that Krillin, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Piccolo, and even his father, are going to be killed in the battle, three years from now. Son Gohan will make it out, but barely, and becomes a teacher for Trunks, and teaches him to fight, but in 16 years… then going on to say that he knows that Piccolo is the key for the Dragon Balls, and since he died, no one can be brought back alive anymore, and the androids prolong the killing for years, just for enjoyment, making life a living hell! Trunks got angry, yelling they’re too strong, just too strong! Goku then asked what about him, why doesn’t he stay and fight, or does he get killed? Trunks explains that he, Goku, never fights, since he will develop an illness and then… die. Goku asked what, as Piccolo jabbed his head up. Trunks tells that the virus attacks the heart, and not even a Super Saiyan can withstand it, as Goku says that it seems not even senzu can work against it. Goku cusses aloud, saying he’s going to die then, that this stinks, ‘cause he wants to fight! Trunks got stunned, saying that he is upset to fight them, that he’s not afraid? Goku confesses that he is, but he wants to at least try to beat them! Trunks reached inside his pocket, saying that this is a true Super Saiyan, just like his mother told, so he wants to give this.

He hands Goku a small medicine bottle, telling that when the symptoms appear, to take this. Goku looked, asking what is it, making Trunks tell that it’s medicine, since the disease is incurable now, but in the future, there’s a drug for this, so with this, death will not come. Goku looked at the bottle with great interest, saying this is it, thanks, that why didn’t he say that in the first place?! Trunks smiled, saying he shouldn’t be doing this, but since the future is so harsh, then perhaps it will be better. He then said he hopes that this will renew faith, as his mother wanted him to survive, and was the one who worked on the time machine and knew him, Goku. Goku got confused, asking if his mom knew him, making Trunks say very well. Goku almost went into a convulsion, saying that if she made the time machine then, then his mother is… as Trunks pointed, right over there. Goku threw his arms up, screaming loudly, asking if he means Bulma?! Vegeta got upset, asking how long will the talking go on, and Bulma saying that Son looked up for some reason. Goku yelled that this is the biggest shock, that he always thought she would end up with Yamcha, but Vegeta?! Trunks explained that Yamcha wasn’t always faithful, and she was fed up with him for good, and as she saw his father sitting there alone, it just happened, but they never married.

Goku said that that’s strange, that it’s hard to picture them married anyway! Goku finally crept up a smile, as Trunks explains that his father died when he was too young, so this was a shock to see him for the first time, while Yamcha tells everyone that he’s looking this way, and it seems they’re laughing. Trunks was fearful, saying to please, please keep this promise and keep it a secret, because should Goku tell, the future might not be in Trunks’s favor for being alive. Goku said he would, with Trunks telling that he should get going, so he may reassure his mother as soon as possible. Goku said that’s true, to tell her thanks, and hopes that the future, does change! Trunks smiled, saying yeah, that he has more hope now, after seeing his, Goku’s, strength. Goku asked if they would meet again, with Trunks looking back and saying that he doesn’t know, but it does take time to power up the machine, and if he does come out alive, he will meet them in three years. Goku told Trunks to stay alive, that they have something to work towards and will train very hard these three years. Trunks gave a thumbs up, then shot off, making everyone all say he’s leaving?! Goku walked back, saying this is a problem, that how should he tell everyone this? Everyone demanded to know what the boy said, making Goku say that it wasn’t much, while Piccolo finally said to not hold anything back, because this applies to all of them!

Goku looked up, saying he listened in then, making Piccolo say his sense of hearing is much better than anyone else’s. Bulma asked what’s so important, with Piccolo saying if it’s difficult to say, then he will say it, making Goku almost stop him. Piccolo told to not worry, that he will not jeopardize anything that will deny his existence. He then also says they probably don’t want to be killed without getting a chance to train either, while Bulma asked killed? So, Piccolo told them all about the future, keeping Trunks’s identity a secret, and none of them could hide their shock. Yamcha said that it’s too far fetched, that he could just be claiming to be from the future, as Bulma said there’s no such thing as a time machine! Piccolo told if they don’t believe, and then stay out of the way, but he wants to train and not die! Gohan looked up, as Yamcha asked what’s that? Trunks was in his time machine, saying to his dad silently, that he looks strong, proud, stern, and lonely, just as him mom said, but don’t die… and good luck to you, my mother to be. He waved good-bye in his four cylinder, big bubble on top for the seat machine, and waved good-bye. Suddenly, his ship disappeared, and made everyone aware now that all that Piccolo said was true. Tenshinhan spoke up finally, saying he will train, as well as Krillin, while Vegeta was in his own world, cursing them, telling himself that he will fight this battle, and live!
