Neko Majin Z

Z is a Neko Majin, a species of creature of which only 28 are known of. Their appearance resembles that of a large, plump cat with squinty eyes, standing up like a human. Every one of them can use a little, albeit unimpressive magic, but what they lack in these skills, they more than make up for with martial arts fluency. Z is said to be very powerful, and the manga starts with him standing on a small crest of rock, in a GI rather like that of Goku’s.

A small, primitive child contently plays on his small hand-held computer game, before he looks down to see Z running along and shouting "Choo choo" and "Ding ding" somewhat like an uneducated moron. The boy shouts hello to the Neko Majin and then questions what he was doing. Z replies that he was being a train, but the boy immediately contradicts this by saying it sounded more like a steam engine.

They stare into nothingness for a while, before Z breaks the silence and decides that he’d like some cola. The boy agrees with this, as he’d enjoy some too. They blankly stare at one another for a while until Z demands that the boy buys it as he doesn’t have any money. Of course being a stray young child living by himself in the wilderness he doesn’t have any money either. Before they can argue though, a small craft lands in the distance, with the two rapidly making the assumption that they are gullible tourists whom they can con out of money.

From out of the craft steps an averaged-size, fairly plump humanoid wearing tradition Saiyan armor. He has short black hair which covers the center of his head. His wife accompanies him, and she is about his size, but slim, and wearing some sort of hood over her head and a tight black body suit. She has sunglasses on, and smiles contently as her husband says that this planet shall become his new Summer home. She compliments her husbands choice of destination, referring to him as "Lord Onio". She mentions that there are humans in a disappointed way, and Onio confirms this, saying about 5 billion of them, which it’ll take even him a month or so to kill them all. She cuts him off though, reminding him to leave slaves for her. It appears that these two are the invading bad guys.

From a safe distance away in the bushes, Z and the boy gladly look on, preparing to make some money off the two people they believe to be tourists. They come up with a dodgy money making scheme which involves the Neko Majin dressing up in an unconvincing Koala suit, and the boy pretending to be a photographer. They dash forward towards the two would-be invaders, and offer to take their photograph with the rare ‘Koala’. They question why they’d want to, but when the boy explains you can show them off to your friends, the two are suddenly intrigued. They set the price at 18 dollars, but when the couple from outer space announce they have no money, the conmen are disappointed. The man whips out a ruby paperweight and offers to pay them with that. They have no idea what ruby is, but accept it none-the-less.

The photograph is set up by having the lady hold Z, and the man put his arm round her. Before it can be taken though, Z shows his perverted way by fondling the ladies breast, making her husband go berserk. He powers up to his maximum very angrily, and his wife warns the boy and Z that they are in deep trouble now. The Neko Majin and the boy are astounded as he is shining, something that they’ve never seen before. Onio does a Ginyu-style pose whilst announcing he’s the strongest in the universe. He shouts his name, then casually adds that he’s also a Super Saiyan. The boy asks what country that’s from, but Z has long since realized that they’re not from the same planet. He questions the Saiyan’s power, doubting that he’s the world’s strongest. Onio’s wife adds that if they aren’t sure then get Dragonball from jump comics, referring to an old piece of work by Toriyama.

Onio proves his raw strength by emitting a huge KI blast, blowing up part of the countryside. Everyone is impressed, and the woman laughs at Z saying that he shouldn’t have fondled her breasts because of her husband’s strength. The boy contemplates out loud about whether Z is stronger than Onio, and the Neko Majin gladly decides to find out.

Z quickly changes into his fighting GI right in front of the Saiyan and his wife, with the boy warning him to hide and change, otherwise they’ll find out he’s not a real Koala. Z ignores him though, stands up, and then does his own little pose, saying the words "Neko Majin Z has appeared!!". Onio angrily taunts that Z obviously wasn’t listening as he previous stated he was the strongest in the world and cannot be defeated. Z wearily explains that he’s not really a Koala, but Neko Majin Z, as if he was talking to a complete idiot. Onio is enraged by this, having been tricked.

The Saiyan hastily charges in, and delivers a powerful kick, sending Z flying miles. He confidently hugs his wife, and then shouts at the boy for not worrying about his friend. The boy merely says that he doubts that Neko Majin Z could possibly be dead, and his theory is backed up as Z appears behind Onio and delivers a powerful fist that makes him go skimming across the ground. Z and the boy taunt Onio by repeating what he had said to his wife, angering him further. The Saiyan shouts in anger, then charges in once more.

Z effortlessly jumps over Onio’s clumsy rugby-style tackle. The Saiyan flies up into the air, following the Neko Majin, and dodges a wild punch. The two fight in mid air for a while, neither man getting the advantage, and the boy only able to look on. After a short round of battle, they both spring backwards and land on the ground.

Onio smirks at the surprising resilience of his opponent, in disbelief that anyone could be as strong as him. Z then announces that he is going to become a "Super something". The Saiyan laughs and reminds him of the terminology saying it’s a ‘Super Saiyan’. He laughs, mocking the Neko Majin’s ambitious bluff, saying that only a select few have the ability to make it to that level.

Z powers up, attempting to do what Onio did, and excitedly notices that he too is shining. He announces that he’s now a "Super Neko Majin". Onio finds this hard to believe, but notes that Z’s fur is slightly sticking up, and he is after all, shining, he must have accomplished the impossible. He reassures himself though, his wife and even the lady next door did tell him he was the strongest in the galaxy, and there’s no way they’d lie. He regains his composure, if those two said it then it must be true.

Onio fires a massive KI blast at Z, but the Neko Majin kicks it straight back, with the Saiyan barely managing to avoid it. Z then shoots his trademark attack, something which has a fairly familiar name, called the "NekoHameHa". He hits the stunned Onio causing a huge explosion, and finally defeating him. Onio’s wife drags him back to the ship, and soars off into the distance. Z doesn’t realize it, but he has just saved Earth and the whole of mankind from distinction. Z waves them off making a peace sign with his fingers, the boy disappointedly mentions that they forgot their photos.

A while later, Z and the boy are standing in front of row upon row of boxes of cola, looking at it intently. The boy admits that he sold the ruby paperweight and bought cola with the money he got from it, making Z look at him in a puzzled way, and merely ask "Why?"
