| Codename: Project DOOMRIDER :: 08-03-2003 12:44 :: posted by Master Roshi |
You guys are all probably wondering, 'What in the name of god is project doomrider?' Well how many of you out there are fans of DBZ music videos? *sees people in crowd raise hand lol* Well, Project Doomrider is a music video project being lead by a good friend of mine, DBZ_Doomrider, the head of this project. It consists of 17 people working on it. The concept started approximately 8 months ago, with 2-3 months left to go in production. Here's the description on the official website:
"What exactly is this Project DOOMRIDER you ask?
Imagine all of the highlights of DragonBall Z, set to a personal remix of Darude's "Sandstorm."
Further imagine... that it doesn't suck.
"Project DOOMRIDER" is yet another collaborative anime music video project, but with a twist. All editors are fans of the show (many long-time, any many well known for their past DBZ music videos). While other AMV projects go the "miscellaneous" route, the concept for this project is the use of a SINGLE anime throughout the entire project, in a chronological order... DragonBall Z. The aim of the project is to become a final atonement for all the horrid DBZ oriented music videos that have come out to taint the series, and sour the taste of the series to fans who have inherited the disability to not see potential in the series. Aside from that, the video is meant to redeem the series in the eyes of many, aside from asking forgiveness, and perhaps draw in new fans. We are aiming for perfection, and we mean perfection, because in what we aim for... nothing less will do."
There ya have it folks, Project Doomrider! If you ask me, it sounds like it'll be quite amazing, definetly something I'm looking forward to. Check out the official Project Doomrider website here.

The website is packed with info about the project, without giving too much of it away. Expect great things from this folks! I'm currently trying to find a place to host DBZ_Doomrider's music video 'Turn The Page.' It was ranked the 3rd best DBZ music video of all time. I have seen it people, and beleive me, it deserves that title! If you wanna drop DBZ_Doomrider a line, click here. That's all for now folks, adios!
