Summary:

Son Gohan, the Inconsolable
Gohan almost peed in his pants, asking what does he have to do for the training? Piccolo simply said that all that Gohan would have to do is just live. Gohan got confused, asking if he meant live? Piccolo repeated it, saying it's correct. He gave one last instruction to survive alone, so if you're alive when he, Piccolo, arrives back in the coming six months, then he will teach how to fight. Gohan's eyes turned of horror, asking to survive for six months in this kind of place? Gohan begged his way out, screaming that he would just die of loneliness! Piccolo tired to ease Gohan's fear, explaining that blood thirsty beasts are limitless over the area. Gohan then screamed to please don't do that and leave him alone! Piccolo's eyes turned to monster, saying that he has no time for this kind of insolent behavior. Piccolo confronts Gohan's learning abilities once more, yelling to survive six months along and learn how to be strong, mentally and physically. Piccolo went on to say that Gohan should not forget that he is the key savior of the earth, so the only way to do that is to believe in his power and show himself how to draw that power out greatly. Gohan tried so hard to argue his way out, but Piccolo then said good-bye. Piccolo also tells Gohan that he should not escape, for the area is surrounded by desert, so going to barren wasteland from paradise does not sound good.

Gohan then wanted to give himself some pleasure, asking where would he get food, bath, and bed? Piccolo smiled at the boy for being naive, asking if he thought those things were prepared? Gohan then went for his last resort, saying it's just not fair. Piccolo decided to seal the deal, explaining if Gohan wants to feel resentment, then curse his, Gohan's, fate, as will he. Piccolo zoomed like a rocket to the sky, making Gohan run slowly after that he is brutally scared and doesn't want to be alone! Gohan gave up and cried loudly, as Kami watched through Piccolo's eyes. Mr. Po Po told Kami that it seemed he was trouble, so what is the matter? Kami told that Piccolo seems much different from before, that he is defiantly evil, but not like the crude, violent one from before. Mr. Po Po confessed he agreed, that it appeared he is no longer the Daimaou. Kami preached that he knew there was something from Radditz's soul that made him realize something. Kami showed that when Radditz died, he was killed by a demon. However, those who are killed by demons float into nothingness. But, Radditz had his soul and went to hell, which means that Piccolo is different from before. Kami grew into a sorrow mood, explaining that Piccolo may be aware of it, that this is his and Kami's last year to live. Mr. Po Po repeated Kami's subject of one year, while Kami says that he does not know if Piccolo will die by Saiyan or his, Kami's, life die out. He knows that Piccolo is his death and his death is Piccolo's death, so it's not so well for a Kami to know his own death. Kami looked up into the sky, saying that Piccolo does know this, that he may just want to leave something behind, perhaps through Goku's son.

Mr. Po Po then brought up the Dragon Balls, with Kami saying that the last time will be the last time they are ever used will be in one year. Gohan found himself on a rock, sobbing his little eyes out, when he heard loud booms of a monster. He stopped crying, looked up, and begin to sniffle once more. A huge dinosaur, like a t-rex, with five horns coming from his head, dribbled saliva from his mouth, staring at Gohan. Gohan had no clue what to do, but seemed certain of death when the creature opened his mouth as a new home for Gohan. Gohan ran like a coward, yelling for help from anyone! Gohan then tripped, as the dinosaur's mouth opened widely for his prey. Gohan then grew some anger, jumping high into the air. The dinosaur snapped his jaws shut and felt around for food, but concluded to nothing. He looked around, while Gohan came on top of a large cliff. He looked around, saying that he can't get down! Night emerged, with Gohan curling up into a ball, saying he's scared and hungry. He then heard something, finding two apples in front of him. He accepted them with open arms, yelling that they're apples! He almost took a bite, when he looked up wondering where the apple tree was? He ignored it and chewed down, biting and chewing, but then complaining that they were sour. Gohan begged for some dim sum, while Piccolo just cursed the boy, asking himself will there be no end? Piccolo did explaining softly to Gohan, that this is the last time, that if he cannot survive on his alone after this, then he is more useless than imagined. All the while, Gohan is sleeping and Goku is running, going from road to road on Serpent Path, and him also saying he is so hungry!
