Dragonball Z Adventure History

22nd Tenkaichi Budoukai Saga
I've gotten stronger! Look what I can do!

Chapters 113-134, 22 chapters long, 1 2/3 books long

Comic One Hundred and Twenty-Two
Summary:

Son Goku Advances!!!
The announcer now calls out that the fourth fight is about to begin! The last of the eight finalists will be concluded here and now! Now, will Panputo please come out! Panputo then somersaults in the air and lands in the middle of the arena. Krillin slowly says that he's just a plain fighter. The announcer then explains that Panputo has already won two major world tournaments and is now looking for his third. Krillin is impressed to hear that, but still thinks he's just nothing. Jackie Chun explains that he has heard that he has been called an Unstoppable Fighter. Tenshinhan doesn't care for him, calling him cocky. Krillin tells Goku to not give up, but Goku tells him he'll be just fine. The announcer then informs that the Son Goku, the next fighter, should come out. Krillin wishes Goku good luck one last time, while Goku walks out. The announcer explains about Goku, saying that he has been trained under Muton Roshi and has placed second at the last tournament. The announcer concludes by saying that this will be a good match of strong, good-willed fighters. Panputo then throws a punch to Goku, but doesn't hit him. Goku doesn't even flinch, making Krillin surprised.

Panputo asks if he was too afraid to react, but Goku tells him that that was a weak punch. Panputo is shocked to hear this, making him think that Goku has never heard of him. He offers Goku a demonstration then, so he can se his true power. The announcer allows it, making Panputo flex. He then starts swinging in the air, while also doing some kicks. He then does a highflying kick in the air, and then does some back flips. He stops near a wall and smashes it to pieces with his elbow. Everyone is obviously impressed, all but Goku. The announcer is sad to this, since he tells him that they just built that! Panputo replies with no remorse, only saying that he will win. The wall exposes Jackie Chun and Krillin, sitting on the ground. Krillin tells Jackie that he doesn't seem at all that strong, since he can do that. The announcer then gets off the arena, saying that he doesn't want to get in the middle of this. Goku bows, while Panputo tells him that it will only take thirty seconds to beat this kid. The announcer repeats Panputo's threat, asking who will win between these two fighters? But, they must find out, so let the match begin! Goku then stands ready, as well as Panputo. Panputo then goes in for the strike, coming straight for Goku. Goku sees Panputo a mile away, and when Panputo tries to go in for a punch, Goku grabs his arm and hits him in the ribs. Panputo just stands, wheezing horribly, and then staggers to the ground, realizing his defeat. Tenshinhan is speechless over seeing this, while the announcer runs over, saying that he’s unconscious, so Goku wins!

The announcer expresses great emotion, saying that Goku just one over this fighter with only one punch! It is an unbelievable victory for Goku, since he must have trained really hard! Everyone in the audience cheers Goku on, while Tenshinhan tells himself that that wasn’t just one punch. When Goku caught Panputo’s arm, he hit him in the ribs and stomach three times with his elbow. Tenshinhan now realizes how dangerous this opponent is, while Tsurusennin reminds him that he did kill Tao Pai Pai. Tenshinhan is happy, however, for he hopes they can fight together. Krillin slaps Goku’s hands, saying that he did it! Goku laughs it off, while Krillin congratulates him again, saying that they both made it to the semi-finals! They both express that it may have gotten worse out there, while Jackie Chun laughs at them for saying that. He tells them that they are both incredibly great fighters and should always try thier hardest. They can both win this tournament if they put their mind to it! Krillin then complains that Yamcha was supposed to a great fighter too and he lost horribly. Jackie Chun explained that his fighter was several levels above Yamcha, so it is understandable why he lost. The announcer now asks for the fifth fight to be started! The contestants are Tenshinhan and Jackie Chun! Jackie walks out to the arena, saying that he has to go and fight now. Goku wishes him good luck, while Jackie tells himself that this will be an interesting fight. Tenshinhan is already on the arena, reminding himself to not be fooled by this old man. Krillin then looks at his hands, wondering if Jackie was right, saying that they were much stronger than they realize?
