Dragonball Z: Trunks Saga (Brief)

The saga starts off with everyone gathering at a point in a mountain range, after sensing two huge KI’s. one oh which is Frieza’s. The strange thing is though, is that Frieza’s had increased almost beyond recognition, which confuses the warriors. Almost everyone is crowded round, discussing the huge power. Even Vegeta is there, unable to figure out how Frieza could have survived. The one person missing though, is Goku, who had managed to survive the explosion, but was nowhere to be seen. Just as it seems that the heroes have no choice other than to attack Frieza and the other huge power, someone else arrives, this guy with a seemingly miniscule power. They watch on to see what will happen, as Frieza and the other huge power get off the ship.

The second huge power is revealed to be King Cold – Frieza’s father. He looks similar to Frieza in his second form, and is moaning about how this is way out of their way. Frieza just ignores him though, and begins to get to work looking for the people he considers scum – The Earthlings and Saiyans. A mysterious youth confronts him, and the scouters that Frieza’s soldiers bare read a mere lowly sum. They all attack, but the mysterious youth pulls out his sword, and slices them to pieces. His purple, parted hair flows in the wind, and he turns to Frieza. Before the fight starts, the mysterious youths hair turns gold, and he reveals himself to be a Super Saiyan. He then fights with Frieza for a while, and easily defeats him, with the use of his sword, and his extreme power. No one can believe how powerful this kid is.

Once Frieza is dead, the kid goes after his father, King Cold. He even gives the guy his sword, and still beats him easily. After it is all over, he notices all the other good guys standing by, watching him intently. He tells them to follow him to where Goku is going to land. They have their doubts at first, but they all follow him, wanted to know if he is right or not.

When they arrive on the scene, the youth tells them that Goku will arrive in three hours, and they all wait, somewhat impatiently. After the designated time is up, a pod, rather like the Ginyu Force ones, crashes to the Earths surface, not too far from them. They all fly other, anticipation boiling up inside them. The door opens, and out steps Goku, amazed to see everyone. He waves hi, and gets a mammoth cheer, as everyone is so glad to see him again. The mysterious youth wishes to talk to him in private, and he obliges.

The mysterious teenager reveals himself to be from the future. His name is Trunks, son of Vegeta and Bulma. Goku almost feints when he hears this, and laughs his head off. Trunks gets serious though and tells Goku to turn Super Saiyan. He does so, then Trunks does too. The teenager then pulls out his sword, aiming for Goku’s head. He stops though, when he notices that no defense is mounted. Goku tells him that he sensed no killing intent, so there was no need to block. Trunks chuckles to himself, then warns Goku that he wont pull any punches this time. Goku extends a finger, and charges it up. Trunks attacks with his sword, but every shot is blocked by Goku’s index finger. After its finished, Trunks commends Goku on his fighting skill, and says that he had to do it to make sure that he was the right one and could be trusted. Goku understands, then Trunks tells him about some androids, that are going to arrive on Earth in 3 years, and that they are more powerful and evil than anything ever seen before. Goku isn’t scared, but instead looks forward to the challenge. Impressed, Trunks tells Goku that in his timeline, he died of a heart disease, and will do so in this one too unless he is granted medical treatment. The disease doesn’t yet exist in the present, but there is a cure for it in the future. Trunks hands Goku a bottle, and tells him to take it whenever he feels any symptoms come on. Goku takes it appreciatively. Trunks waves bye, and says that he will be back in time to fight the androids. He then gets into his time machine, and flies off into the future, into his timeline where the androids plague the Earth.

Goku returns to the others, and claims that nothing went on. Piccolo informs them that he heard it all, saying his ears “do more than just frame my face”. He doesn’t say anything about Vegeta and Bulma being Trunks’ father, but tells everyone of the androids, and they all agree to train hard.

Thus the Trunks saga ends, with Goku proving that he is stronger than ever, and possibly being the last stand for the Earth against these evil beings. Hopefully everyone will be strong enough to defeat them.
