Dragonball Z Collectible Card Game

Blue too cool or melted?

Weaknesses and Strengths of blue

Blue the calming style, everybody thinks they know what blue style is all about especially now with the cell saga mastery. When we say blue, dragon ball is the first word that comes into people's minds. We will just see if Blue is just a db deck or if it can go farther than that.

Blue style has gained strength

Like the huge defense using the new blue mastery. With the blue mastery you are allowed to block any one attack that your opponent throws at you. People have used this to their advantage by making decks with tons of defense or vise-versa having a block every combat. The Blue mastery makes it possible for you to go through an entire game without taking one life card of damage.

Blue's Hidden Power

Even though blue is thought just to be a db arch type deck color there are numerous events that show blue isn't just that. Blue has a huge strength as an anger underdog, blue can sneak in and win through MPPV which has been seen in recent regional events. Blue has anger and huge defense, what else does it got? Well, Blue also has some huge physical attacks mostly coming from the saiyan saga. Blue can really put a hurting on your opponent if he does keep his guard up.

Blue Energy Attacks

Blue isn't first in energy attacks but isn't a slouch either with more than 3 energy attack. Each of them can raising anger doing while still doing 5+ life cards of damage. Blue energy attack decks are not that uncommon and deal a lot of damage if used right. Next the Blue energy attacks are great without a large downside, but the weakness is just like namekian's, the real lack in number of them keeping you down. Without the number you can't have the deck. This really takes away the main threat of blue energy.

Blue and it's Twin

Blue is also the classical twin of red. Blue takes out red with each strike, easily keeping an opponent from winning MPPV while you are gaining your own way to it.

Wow huge anger, evil physical attacks, anger raising and lowering energy attacks, and the ability to block anything your way? What can be the downside?

Blue's Weakness

Actually many things hurt blue. The physical attacks are good but only few personalities really work well with blue and that limits this styles great attacks by the personalities weak power levels.

Blue and DB Decks

Ok db sounds great, and it is, but with db decks running ramped many decks have ways around them and are expecting you to play it. Players using db decks have rarely won regionals with all of the dragon ball hate currently. These decks are good but wait awhile before building one. In order to stay alive from the Vinegar onslaught one must play Piccolo the Trained, forcing themselves into a corner.

The Blue Mastery

Well, I like the mastery what about it? Yes, the mastery is good but it is like Pandora's box, it saves you but once you open it you kill one card from your hand leaving you only holding 2 cards and if the hand is made up of just an attack and a block you are going to get hit, especially from saiyan decks that can hold up to 7 attacks a combat.

Only true skilled players should play a non-dragon ball blue style deck. The power of blue is very powerful if used in the right hands, I suggest you trying out the different types of blue decks before even thinking about taking one to a tournament.

Sincerely,
David C./ShenronGod2

IQ's Note:
Blue has been turned into the new style Dragonball decks use but the New Blue Mastery can do wonders when combined with the right beat down deck. If you don't believe me try it out.... if you still don't believe me after you tried it out then keep trying ;-p
