Summary:

The Energy Sphere
Gohan and Krillin flew on, with Krillin telling Gohan that they're almost there and demanding Gohan to stick in, making Gohan say okay. Krillin then felt something and looked back, telling Gohan to look back now, making Gohan ask what? Krillin looked to see a bright light in the sky, allowing Krillin to ask where did that light come from, or is that a star? Gohan explains it looks bright, when Krillin and Gohan felt a huge surge of energy. Krillin cried out, saying that a great chi just seemed to explode now, while Gohan said that it can't be his dad's. Krillin suggests that maybe it could be that Saiyan's, but then thinks that it is just so very huge! Gohan then slowly called out for his daddy, telling a Krillin who was about to fly away that he's going back. Krillin asks what does he mean, going back? Gohan grew angry, saying that his daddy's in trouble, that he can feel it and knows he could die! Krillin asks what can Gohan do against the Saiyan, making Gohan saying nothing, but he has to go! Gohan then took off, with Krillin reaching out for him to stop. Gohan sped faster, with Krillin yelling that he's crazy and so is he, Krillin! Goku looked on, saying that it cannot be! Vegeta grew more and more, until finally achieving his final form of the giant ape. Goku stared as Vegeta bellowed a roar from deep within his soul. Vegeta stood over Goku with great power, laughing as he asked what did he think of this!? Goku stood back, saying he's heard of apes like this! Goku explains that his grandpa was killed by him! Vegeta laughs manically, saying that's good, but that a Saiyan is most powerful in his ape form, but only Saiyan's with tails!

Goku remembered back when he was a kid with his grandpa, as his grandpa explained to not go outside when the full moon rises, for monsters ravage the land then. He also thought of Kami Sama, who told Goku that he wanted that tail removed permanently. Goku smiled, realizing the awful truth now. He told himself that this is what happened, the monster at the Tenkaichi Budoukai and the one who killed his grandpa, was him, Goku, all along. Goku looked up, telling his grandpa at long last he is sorry, that he is also sorry not being able to beat this monster for the planet and for him, his grandpa. Goku knows that he will ask for forgiveness from his grandpa when he goes back to heaven! Yajirobe still stood on the sidelines, asking himself while backing away of what is that thing!? He recalls the evil aura and the clothes, that it can only be the Saiyan! Goku knew one last thing to do, which was the Genki Dama! Vegeta then threw his fist to Goku, but Goku dodged away. The cliff wasn't lucky, being smashed to pieces. Vegeta saw Goku a mile away, so he kicked the traitor away into the ground. Goku skidded along the ground, until finally landing face down in the dirt. Vegeta sprung for another attack, as Goku yelled out for the Kaiouken!

Goku jumped away from Vegeta's punch, but was hit by Vegeta's tail as he made his way back to the ground. Goku did several flips, until shunning his eyes from the pain finally. Vegeta had already made it into the air, yelling to not die just yet, because he wants to kill first! Goku told himself that he didn't know that he would be so fast, so he won't have time to concentrate. Goku then screamed his only chance is to increase the power, that he only needs ten seconds, all that for concentration! Goku then got an idea, as Vegeta opened his mouth to swallow Goku. Goku put his fingers to face, yelling to Tenshinhan that he's stealing his move! Goku then yelled out for the Taiyoken, making a blinding light spread around the area. Vegeta couldn't take the pain, so he covered his eyes and screamed out the pain in his eyes! Goku sped away, saying he can do it now while he's blinded! Goku landed finally, saying that this should be far enough. He then asked out for the earth, the ocean, and all living things, to just give a small bit of power! Goku threw his hands in the air, yelling out a loud please once more. Goku then felt a rush of chi around him, as Vegeta began to regain sight, saying to Kakarrot he's dead!
