A
piercing wind slowly blows across the wrecked training room. It seeps
through the many cracks, crevices and gaps in the wall, and wreaks havoc
with the saiyans hair, blowing it to and fro, but unable to mess it up.
Dodoria tries some intimidation tactics, but they are in vain. Korosu and
Bardock aren’t going to give up that easily, and they are psyched up for
this battle. A small, yet sharp chill is sent down Bardock’s spine, and
the shiver was the error that Dodoria was waiting for. He charges in at an
incredible pace, especially for someone with his build, and delivers a
large, pink, scaly fist into Bardock’s gut, sending him crashing to the
floor immediately, desperately searching for streaks of air. Dodoria merely
laughs at him, then spits on him.
“Stupid
saiyan. What makes you think that you could even come close to beating
me?”
“Heh,
I’m not done yet lard arse!” Bardock shouted aggressively, as he let a
roar of agony, pulling himself up, and heavily favouring his stomach. Before
continuing his little speech, Bardock began coughing manically, eventually
ejecting some excess blood from his mouth, and staining his formerly clean,
shining, saiyan boots, which had been newly issued to him by Otaku, the
leader of the saiyan rebellion. “You bastard! Those were my favourite
boots! I can’t get another pair like those! Now, you die!” Bardock
yelled.
“You
seem to have a lot of tough words monkey, but you haven’t been able to
back them up yet have you now?” taunted Dodoria.
“Now!”
screamed Bardock, catching Dodoria off guard. Korosu fired a small KI blast
at the pink alien, narrowly missing the elite soldier. Korosu curses, but
knows that he has done his bit, with Bardock burying his fist deep into the
huge, slimy gut of Dodoria’s before the alien could turn round to see what
was happening. Without giving him any time to think, Korosu started to
charge up an energy beam, hoping to use it to finish off the alien. Blue
energy slowly began to merge together in his hands, with bright, blindingly
white streaks of light shooting from it.
Dodoria
recovers from the blow, and hammers down hard on Bardocks head, knocking him
face first into the hard, unforgiving concrete floor. Bardocks nose seemed
to snap as it made contact, with him confined to taking a beating, too weak
to fight back. Dodoria holds out the palm of his hand, ready to blast
Bardock to his death, but the saiyan has some more tricks up his sleeve.
‘This is my last bit of energy, so it had better do the job!’ Bardock
thought to himself, before shooting two, diminutive energy beams into
Dodoria’s eyes, temporarily blinding him.
“That
was all I had left” Bardock told Korosu weakly.
“It’ll
do” was the reply that he received.
“Good,
now I hope that beam is powerful enough to finish this asshole off!”
“Don’t
worry about that, just hope that I can remain standing during this!”
“You
bastards!” Dodoria butted in, still holding his eyes in excruciating
agony. “What have you done? No more Mr nice guy! I’m finished you off
right now!” His hands were removed from his eyes at this point, revealing
nothing but a white, swirling vortex. Gone are the pupils, and the bland
white background for them. He doesn’t seem to have regained full control
over his vision yet, but can make out two blurs, which is all he needs to
see for now.
“What
did you do?” Korosu asked Bardock, but before the reply could even come, a
surge of energy came across him. “Bardock, it’s ready! Problem is, it
could finish us both of if I don’t get it exactly on target!”
“Just
throw the damn thing! If we don’t kill him now, he’ll kill us!”
“Ok,
Dodoria, it is time for the suffering that you have plagued people with to
end! This is for all of the saiyans who’s pride you have ruptured, and
who’s families you have distraught, prepare to die scum!”
“Just
throw it!”
“I am!
Give me time! I have to get it accurate otherwise…”
“I
know, just aim then fire! Damn, do it quickly, it looks like Dodoria is
getting his sight back. Damn, I wish I could move to help you out!”
“You’re
damn right monkey!” snickered Dodoria. “I have now fully got my sight
back, so prepare for Armageddon!” He looked towards Bardock, replying the
KI blast that he dealt him over and over in his mind. His white, swirling
eyes swell up with an inferno of hatred. He swings back his fist, and hits
Bardock in the ribs, making several cracking sounds, signaling the breakage
caused. Before he can do anything else though, he sees a large shadow
eclipse him. Dodoria looks for the source of the shadow, but doesn’t see
it until it is inches away from him. He tries to move, but Bardock makes a
grab for his ankles, and manages to hold on. That extra motion slowed
Dodoria down enough. The beam hit him, exploding on contact, and wiping out
the whole room. The lifeless corpse of Bardock is blown back, as his eyes
slowly close, and his consciousness fades. Korosu keeps the beam going, as
it makes more and more of a blast, destroying the surrounding area, and
using up all of his remaining reserves of energy. All that can be heard from
the rapidly increasing mound of smoke is Dodoria’s screams, as he pleads
for mercy, but to no avail. Korosu isn’t listening, he doesn’t care. All
his concentration is focused on this explosive beam. He lets off a loud
scream, then pours one final, extra surge of brute energy into the
devastating attack, blowing Dodoria backwards, and causing an explosion
which could be seen on another planet. This one if far superior to the
ongoing one that had been taking place during the early phases of the
attack. Korosu is blown backwards by the intensive waves of energy, and the
backlash from the explosion. Dodoria’s screams are lost in the abyss of
smoke and fire. People flood onto the scene to see Dodorias decapitated
motionless corpse, with blood pouring from every orifice. They come to the
conclusion that he must be dead after that explosion, but check his pulse
none-the-less.
“He’s
definitely dead. That bastard is finally dead!”
“Who
killed him though” a saiyan bystander asked.
“I saw
Korosu and Bardock round here earlier”
“Na,
there’s no way that they could be powerful enough to beat this guy! He has
wreaked chaos upon the saiyan for centuries! How could two regular soldiers
beat him? It doesn’t make any sense! I mean, they’re strong, but surely
not that strong!”
“You
shouldn’t underestimate them, although it is hard to believe”
“That
would mean that they are the two most powerful saiyan in existence
wouldn’t it?” This comment was the final unsocialized one that found its
way into the heads of others, as chaos breaks lose, with everyone shouting
and screaming at each other, in disbelief. The commotion finally dies down
into a calm, yet deadly silence. A powerful presence is around, and they
know it. Rubble moves from the building, and they all get into their
fighting stances. More rubble moves, and eventually, a huge chuck is
removed. A battered warrior comes out with another one on his shoulder. Both
of these have tails. They are covered in cuts, bruises, and blood from the
battle, and have their bones sticking out in some places, such is the extent
of the injuries. The man carrying his comrade collapses all of a sudden,
motionless, lifeless, still, with no sign of breathing.
“It’s
Korosu….and Bardock!” shouted an anonymous member of the gathered croud.
“They’re
dead” shouted another one.
“You’d
better be wrong!”
“I
dunno, check em out”
“I
will” said a saiyan, who looked to be somewhat skilled, and respected by
the other saiyans, as he came in, and checked their pulses. His face
displays a look of terrible horror, telling them all what they didn’t want
to hear, without the need to speak a word. Groans, and aggravated shouts of
annoyance spread around the crowd, with women crying, and men trying, but
failing to hide their emotion. The saiyans who took Bardock and Korosu’s
pulse wiped a tear away from his face, then stood up.
“These
two warriors have fought gallantly. They won the battle, but lost the war.
We shall carry on this war! Who’s with me?”
“ME!”
everyone shouted at once, as they all ran down to the quaint docking ports
on the other side of town…..
