Dragonball Z Episode 14: Such Sweet Temptation! The Snake Princess' Hospitality

(original, Japanese episode)

Goku races across Snake Way as Piccolo and Gohan continue training. Gohan witnesses Piccolo create a huge tornado that almost blows him and his saber tooth friend away. On Kami’s lookout, Yamcha, Tienshinhan, Chauzu, Krillin, and Yajirobe have gathered to train with the Guardian of Earth.

In the meantime, Goku arrives at a huge house on Snake Way. He falls inside a huge snake’s mouth and it leads him inside the house. A servant greets him and then alerts the owner of the house. The lady seems very happy with Goku. She is introduced as the Snake Princess. Goku mistakes her for Lord Kaio. She says she hasn’t had an attractive man there since Lord Yama 500 years ago. He asks “Lord Kaio” to train him in martial arts, but the princess says to tango with her instead. The two begin to dance, but Goku is dumbfounded by this technique he thinks he is learning. He decides it is a technique to throw the enemy off-guard, so he throws the princess. The servants yell at Goku, saying she is not Lord Kaio, but the winner of the Netherworld Beauty Contest, the Snake Princess. Goku says he is leaving because he is in a hurry. The ladies convince him to stay and eat dinner. Since Goku is starving again, he agrees to stay. The servants begin cooking a huge meal, but the Snake Princess tells them to put sleeping grass in his food to keep him there. The food is presented, and Goku stuffs his face, clearing the entire table in a matter of seconds. The sleeping grass has no effect on Goku. He decides its time to go, but the women convince him to stay for a bath, because Lord Kaio hates smelly people. With that in mind, he gets into the hot spring. The Snake Princess approaches and sees Goku naked as he exits the water. He dresses and tries to leave again, but the servants stop him a third time. One tries to get him to play a game of “Russian Roulette”, but ends up killing herself. A dance begins to serenade Goku, and he is presented a drink full of sleeping grass. He drinks it and watches the dance, which puts him to sleep. He mumbles Chi-Chi and Gohan during his sleep, so the princess asks for the dream watcher that can look into anyone’s dreams. She realizes these people are his family and it upsets her. She decides to eat Goku instead.

In Goku’s dream, Chi-Chi is cooking while Gohan is studying. The door is kicked in and the Saiya-jins enter. Chi-Chi screams in terror. Goku wakes up immediately and sees the princess and her servants peering at him. He sas he must leave now, and the princess becomes angry. Goku stands in defense as the princess disappears. Goku is really inside a huge snake! The princess tries to digest Goku with her stomach acid, but Goku flies out of her mouth. She refuses to give up and chases Goku, hitting him with a fire blast. He was about to fire a Kamehameha, but changes his mind due to her hospitality. The huge snake refuses to let Goku by, so with a little maneuvering, he ties the big snake in a knot. He thanks her again for the food and bath and continues on his way. In the meantime, the training continues on Kami’s lookout as the Z fighters spar each other. But, the Saiya-jin space pods are racing toward Earth. Hurry Goku! You need to reach Lord Kaio’s.
