Dragonball Z Episode 200: Seven Years
Since that Event! From Today I'm a High School Student!
(original, Japanese episode)
The episode opens with a quick scene of
the defeat of Cell. Peace has returned to the land. Many years have
passed since that fateful day. This is the beginning of the Buu
Saga.
A bank robbery is shown taking place.
Gohan, now in his late teens, is shown flying on Kinto cloud as he is
headed for his first day of high school in Satan City. He lands on the
outskirts of town, and looks up at a sign of Mr. Satan. The people
still believe it was Mr. Satan that saved them from Cell, so they
renamed the city to Satan City in respect for their hero. He seems to
be running a little late, and after making sure no one is looking, he
begins to run as fast as he can. He just happens to run by the bank
robbery in progress as a huge shootout is taking place. Gohan turns
Super Saiya-jin and fights the criminals. One man fires an entire clip
at Gohan, but he just catches the bullets. The other robbers try to
escape in a truck, but Gohan just sends an energy wave to take it out.
Videl appears and asks Gohan, now in his regular form, who did this.
Gohan just runs away. A man at the scene says the Golden Haired
Warrior appeared and stopped the criminals, and he seems to go to the
same high school as Videl (he had the same high school badge on).
Videl seems very confused. At school, Videl questions Sharpner if he
is the Golden Haired Warrior, and he replies that he is involved with
too many clubs to be the warrior. Another student asks Videl if the
mystery man is stronger than Mr. Satan, Videl’s father, but another
boy reassures her that Mr. Satan saved the world and is the strongest
fighter ever. The teacher then starts the class, and his first order
of business is to introduce Gohan. Videl’s friend thinks Gohan is
cute and just her type while others think his name is weird. Videl
feels like she has seen Gohan before. The teachers says Gohan received
perfect scores on the placement tests for Japanese, English, math,
chemistry, physics, and history. He then takes his seat next to
Videl’s friend. Videl just stares at the new kid, trying to place
where she has seen him. The girl introduces herself as Eliza, and then
Videl. She tells Gohan about Videl being Mr. Satan’s daughter, much
to his surprise. Suddenly, Videl remembers that she saw Gohan that
morning at the bank. Eliza mentions the Golden Haired Warrior and how
he is the new Champion of Justice. Gohan realizes that he better start
concealing his identity if he doesn’t want to be discovered, and it
seems Videl is already suspicious. The other students keep saying
Gohan looks to weak to be a fighter. Gohan is called on to translate
from English to Japanese the story of Mr. Satan’s success.
Later on, Gohan learns how to play
baseball, but he remembers that he must not do anything out of the
ordinary so the people don’t figure out who he really is, the true
savior of Earth. Sharpner blasts a hit to right field, but Gohan jumps
high in the air and catches it, then blasts a throw toward home.
Everyone is in complete shock at the leaping ability and power Gohan
has. Gohan then realizes his blunder. Now it is Gohan’s turn to bat,
and he is batting left handed with his hands holding the bat wrong;
Sharpner is pitching. Sharpner, wanting revenge, throws a fastball
that hits Gohan in the head. However, Gohan isn’t hurt at all and
just trots off to first. Videl knows something is up. She decides to
try and trail Gohan home, but he disappears in a flash. On his way
home, he decides he better go see Bulma for an outfit to conceal the
identity of the Golden Haired Warrior. So with that, Gohan ends his
first tiring day of school.
