Summary:

Life or Death?
Gohan and Krillin stared into the wide gaping hole that the Genki Dama slammed into. Both fighters could do nothing but hope that all of them survived and stayed silent. Gohan finally spoke up to say that they both were right there, but did they get sucked into the blast? Gohan also said he can’t feel their chi, as Krillin said that that may be because they’re weak now. Krillin reminded Gohan that Piccolo was with him and they’re both tough cookies too. Gohan pointed out, telling Krillin to look, where on a small island, a moving rock was coming out of the water. It was Piccolo himself, pulling a horribly bruised and battered Goku from the wreckage. Krillin said that it’s Goku and Gohan happily saying they’re both alive! Both fighters jumped off, trying to fly as fast as they could. However, they hovered slightly, saying that they can’t fly well with this low chi, but Gohan only yelled it’s dad and Piccolo! Piccolo heard his name, looking up and seeing his star pupil coming his way. Finally, Gohan and Krillin landed, approaching their heroes, as Goku gave a thumbs up to them all. Gohan hugged his dad finally and then got a pat on the head from Piccolo, as they all just settled down and tried to heal up. Goku finally stood up himself, saying it’s time to go home and it will only take five days in his spaceship. Krillin then yelled out suddenly, making Goku ask what’s wrong?! Krillin blankly told that he totally forgot all about Bulma! Goku told Krillin to not do that, because he thought Krillin saw Freeza again. Krillin said with slow haste that in a bad mood, Bulma is worse than Freeza.

Everyone began to laugh, when Goku said to not make him laugh, because it hurts so much! Piccolo looked off ward, telling that planet Namek has suffered greatly, but as of now, Saichourou and everyone else that died can rest in peace. Krillin got confused, asking Piccolo how does he know about Saichourou? Krillin never got an answer, because he was too terrified now to listen to anything, as his eyes suddenly shivered and gave away from muscles. Goku asked what was wrong, while Krillin tried to get his hand up to point, but could do nothing. Up on a tall rock on the same island was the nastiest, the diabolical, and the seemingly invincible villain himself: Freeza, standing there with his left eye closed, some of his tail gone, and dripping wet. Everyone saw now, screaming that it’s Freeza! Piccolo was suddenly shot in his right lung, trying to protect Goku from the blast Freeza just shot, and then suddenly fell on the ground unconscious. Gohan looked over in horror, giving away small tears over his beloved master and friend, slowly saying Piccolo’s name. Freeza still had his arm out, as Gohan screamed for Piccolo, and Goku looking up in total anger. Freeza was ruthless now, saying he thought he would die, almost though! Goku braced himself to right, screaming for the small warriors to run to the Bulma, get in the spaceship, and leave! Krillin asked what was Goku thinking, leaving him and that they can’t. Goku yelled with his right eye closed from exhaustion to hurry and go, that they are in the way and if they really want to die now?!

Freeza smiled happily, saying no one will go, that no one will leave alive! Freeza stuck his hand out, screaming that he is still more than a match for everyone here! Krillin then suddenly came up, not of his will, and then shot up in the air as Freeza’s hand moved up. Goku yelled for Krillin, then looked at Freeza to scream as loud as he could to stop it! Freeza did nothing but give a smirk and closed his hand in. What happened next would shake Goku forever, seeing Krillin in pain, in the sky, screaming out for him. The impossible happened for Goku, as his best friend just suddenly exploded. The light reflected off of Goku’s eyes, as well as Gohan’s, but Freeza only had fire in his. The bits and pieces of what Krillin fell helplessly into the ground, as Goku shunned his eyes from his best friend’s death. Freeza laughed suddenly, then asking who was next, the brat?! Goku’s arms then twitched, and then his whole body began to shake, as a fire began to ignite inside Goku. He told Freeza that he will not allow this to get away! The fire began to grow, the innocence and naïve Goku we now knew died that day too. The spark of the true Saiyan erupted and out it came. With a twitch of his eye, his hair began to rise up, and began to lose its color. The once softhearted child was now an erupting Saiyan, burning with the desire to fight. Gohan and Freeza could only stare as their one, and only, defense. Goku had transformed suddenly. In a brilliant flash of light, an aura crept its way around the hero’s body. His hair was permanently white and standing upwards, except for a few bits of hair, and the Super Saiyan was born. Freeza asked what is this, while Gohan backed away, asking is this dad?! Goku slowly told Gohan to hurry and get Piccolo and run to the spaceship, because he is barely alive. Gohan didn’t know what to do or think to his new monster, when the tiny bit of rage had to let itself out, screaming at his son to get the hell out of here while he still has some control! Gohan moved over slightly, saying okay, and Goku looking right back up to Freeza, with his cold, murderous eyes, like a lion’s ready to leap upon its prey.
