Interview With Crono

Please don't steal this, as it took me a long time to convert this into my own format, think up the questions, and it took Crono even longer to answer them. Thank you. Now read on!

Seexy: How do you feel about being co-webmaster of a site that has risen so greatly in just 2 months?
Crono: It's really nice actually. I'm still kind of dazed at how many hits DBWorld2000 gets, but Robert Tse should get all the credit for that, he's been promoting this site since day one, and is the backbone of the very site.  I only hope that we can continue to gain people's interest, and grow an even larger fan-base.

Seexy: What, for you, is the most enjoyable aspect of your site?
Crono: Probably any interaction-based sections. The site is, of course, made for the fans, and any way in which I can relate or interact with them is probably the best. The message board, and fanworks are probably my favourite though.

Seexy: What made you decide to work on Dragon World 2000?

Crono: Actually, I'd been searching for a major .com site to help out for a while before I'd found DBWorld2k; especially after several failed attempts at my own sites.  Most sites turned me down, since I'd had no previous experience (and hardly any way to help in multimedia), but Robert accepted me as a sort of information Guru, and has allowed me to do whatever projects I see fit. I love that he'll support me no matter what I'm going onto next.

Seexy: Are there any up and coming 'projects' that you are working on for your esteemed site?

Crono: I'm basically making sure we get the basics of a good Dragonball information site set up first (in an interesting way of course), and then I'll move onto unique and different sections.

Seexy: How long (On average) do you usually spend working on your site per day?

Crono: It's more a day by day approach. It can range anywhere from six hours to five minutes. On average though, it'd probably be a little under an hour.

Seexy: Moving onto Dragonball questions now. What is your favourite attack that has been performed in any one of the Dragonball series (DB, DBZ, DBGT)?

Crono: I'd be lying if I said anything but the "Kamehameha". It's brought so many good moments.  My all-time favourite would have to be the one Gokou used on Cell just before he blew his top half off.

Seexy: Who is your favourite character, and why?

Crono: Gohan.  He's easily the most complete of the Z Senshi. He's got more brains than most of the others combined, and he's easily the most powerful "good guy" at the end of DBZ.

Seexy: What is your opinion on the choice of literature that Roshi and Oolong choose to read?

Crono: I can't hold it against them; I mean, you gotta admire all those Hentai's out there. :P

Seexy: Who would win a cat fight out of Marron, Chi-Chi, and Bulma?

Crono: If the world survived such an encounter, I'd have to say Chi-chi would win.

Seexy: Which battle was your favourite ever, and for what reasons?

Crono: Majin Vegeta vs. Gokou.  Probably the most unique fight in Dragonball, and one that I'd secretly been wanting to see for a long time.  A variety of attacks and movements, and almost no re-used frames of animation, which usually makes for an interesting fight.

Seexy: Which was your favourite movie? This includes all of the Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT movies and Specials.
Crono: I haven't seen all the movies yet, but the Trunks special was probably the best I've seen.  It held a lot of emotion, and set up the whole Android Saga very well. Particularly the part about Trunks wanting to know about his father was very well done.

Seexy: Which Dragonball Z character would you most like to tie up, and beat round the face repeatedly with a wet, salted kipper?

Crono: The dub version of Krillin. I swear, if he'd have said
"Mondo" one more time, I would've broken my TV.

Seexy: Moving swiftly on, I would be interested in hearing some information about your superb Fan Fiction - Crono's Story. What gave you the inspiration to write it?

Crono: Actually, I was reading a bunch of really bad DBZ fanfiction on the web, and thought to myself, "I can do better than this." So I sat down at my computer one day and started writing.  Along the way, I've found that other, better fanfiction is inspiring me to continue and strive towards finishing C.S.

Seexy: The style that you write it in is irregular, yet extremely original. You write it from the viewpoint of the main character,
with him telling the story. This is a fantastic effect. What gave you the idea to come up with it?

Crono: I'd seen it used once before, to a very much smaller
effect, in a "Doom" fanfiction, where there were two
alternating characters that told the story in first
person perspective.  I expanded upon that I believe.

Seexy: Are you planning on making any new additions to it chapter-wise anytime soon?

Crono: I'm currently writing a bunch of fanfictions, including a Starcraft and romance fic, plus have work for DBworld2k to do, so it may be a while before another update. Hopefully I'll be able to do a new chapter or three fairly soon.

Seexy: How'd about a sneak preview of what is to come from Crono in the future?

Crono: The Tenkaichi Budoukai is coming up, and it'll soon be revealed that Crono may be outmatched by someone for the very first time.

Seexy: Well, that's enough of that. Moving on to more Miscellaneous subjects. How do you feel about page pirates who leach other peoples files, and steal their work without even asking for permission?

Crono: Direct leaching really annoys me. Especially for those of us who have bandwidth limitations or house full episodes. As for file stealing, I can understand only one instance where that is OK: images. Not everyone has a scanner or drawing talent, so taking pictures off a person's site (as long as they say it's ok) is fine with me.  Taking information or other creative sections is really bad in my books though.

Seexy: What is your opinion on fan dubs? Do they detract from FUNimations profits all that much? Should they be banned?

Crono: Fandubs aren't that bad, as they're rarely very good, and don't sell very well. Fansubs usually do sell well, and do probably take away from FUNi profits, but that's the price FUNi pays for not giving fans who want the Japanese version what they want. I'm really indifferent on the subject.

Seexy: Do you read many fan fics? If so, what is your favourite one?

Crono: I try to, but I'm really busy now and days. Some of
the best I've read are: Dominion: Reprise, Dark Ki,
Kyoudai, Twist of Fate, and Carrot.

Seexy: What about sites with Full Movies and Episodes? Should they be allowed to continue that way, or should they take them down? Do they only do this to hide their poor content?

Crono: I've seen a number of sites which are extremely poor when it comes to content, and have only full episodes. However, some full episode sites are stero-typed, and
given a bad name, with people saying that they have no content. This is often not true. A prime example is DBZ2057, which has very detailed content and non-episode multimedia, yet people don't seem to see that, since they also house full-episodes. I say let them stay, but also let them take the responsibility if FUNi decides to sue.

Seexy: What is your favourite site?

Crono: Probably a tie between Planet Namek and DBZ2057.

Seexy: What is the best name in DBZ?

Crono: Bra.

Seexy: Do you think Gohan should become a rapper, similar to Eminem or Dre Dre? With his gelled hair, and high pitched voice, he'd be a sure fire hit, surely!

Crono: But of course. I've been trying to contact Stephanie Nadolny (who plays Gohan in the dub), but I've had no success in trying to persuade her into allowing me to be her agent. Another talent gone to waste.

Seexy: What about Vegeta? Should he dress up as Marilyn Manson for some of the episodes?

Crono: He'd probably commit suicide rather than dress up as
Marilyn Manson; although it would be quite a sight.

Seexy: And finally, the last question, the final query, the ending subject of discussion, the...alright, I'll just ask the damn question: What do you think of the conspiracies going on between corrupt business tycoons, fit models, playboy magazine editors, Krillen, and Shoe Shine?

Crono: All I can say is: I'm sure Drunken Cell had a little
something to say about all of the above.
