Chelene

Piccolo places his hand on Gohan's shoulder, "I have faith in you as well Gohan, you smashed his gem and he let it out that it contained his immortality. With that destroyed, he may not have lost any power, but he can now be defeated. You have the power to do it."

Gohan turns and looks at the powerful beast. It has badly hurt his father and almost killed Vegeta, yet he still feels confident that he has what it takes to beat the Spirit. "My master has been destroyed and his wishes have not yet been fulfilled. I will destroy all that I see for vengeance of my master. It cannot be done unless the greatest warrior is destroyed first."

Gohan powers up. "So lets do it."

The Spirit points his finger and a bunch of blasts are let out. Gohan back flips and dodges out of the way of the blasts. He faces his hands out and gives his own blast, but the Spirit is quick even for his size. Gohan jumps at the beast and kicks it in mid air, making it crash to the ground. Gohan places his hands above his head and builds power. "Masenko!!" A huge explosion causes immense smoke and dust to built up. When it clears, the beast stands there, holding its arm. Blood is running down it, and is seeping through his fingers and claws. He raises its tail, and a blast is let out at Gohan. Gohan tries to move, but the blast singes his shoulder. He stares him down holding his arm. The Spirit jumps high in the air slams his tail down on Gohan, causing such impact that an explosion of dust and smoke consumes them. The smoke clears and all who are watching are in awe as they see Gohan holding the beast by the tail. A blue flame has consumed Gohan and after spinning around one time, he tosses the Spirit across the landscape.

"Unbelievable!" Piccolo says in awe.

"That kid is too much!" a badly hurt Vegeta lets out, still on one knee. Goku is hurt badly as well, with the bloody scratches still fresh on his body. He stands up to see his son defeat the Spirit. Gohan cups his hands to his side and powers up, waiting for the Spirit to get to his feet. "Kame..."

The beast gets to his feet.

"Hame...."

He turns to Gohan and flies at incredible speed.

"HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!"

Gohan's powerful blast rips straight through the beast, and he explodes in mid air.

"You did it Gohan!!" Goten is overjoyed that his brother saved everyone from certain death. Gohan flies to his father, who seems to be okay, but he still feels he should be standing up like that.

"Take a seat dad. Everything's gonna be alright."

Goku smiles, he is so proud of his son. "That was awesome son! Looks like Earth has a new superhero!"

Gohan: "Dad, no one can replace you." All the warriors are together, but Chelene looks out at Freeza, who is still on the ground recovering from the beating Vegeta gave him. She also turns and sees a familiar spaceship flying out to space. She slightly smiles, she should have known her people would be here.

"I'm sorry that you lost your notebook ma'am."

Trunks catches her attention. "Its okay, I think the information will still be documented."

Trunks gives a dumb look. "Huh?"

She smiles and says, "Forget about it."

She leaves a still confused Trunks and walks over to Freeza. Vegeta sees them together and flies over to them. "I don't know why you helped me, and I really don't care! Nothing you do will make up for what you have done to me and my kingdom!" Freeza looks to Chelene. "I will have to leave again, please forgive me for what I said to you....I--love you....."

Chelene grows sad and jumps at Vegeta.

"Stop! Please spare his life!! He will never hurt anyone for as long as he lives!!"

Vegeta: "Stupid woman! You have no idea what you are doing! Get off of me!!"

Piccolo takes Chelene off of Vegeta before the Saiy-jin really loses his temper. "I know the pain I caused you and your people Vegeta, and this may mean nothing to you, but I really am sorry for all that I've done......"

Vegeta, with his hand still faced out, looks at Freeza as if he were speaking another language. He stares at him with confusion, that confusion turns into disgust, that disgust turns into rage, that rage turns into hatred. He finally replies: "Apology not accepted."

The other warriors watch as they understand not to interfere. Goku, in his mind, actually agrees with Vegeta for a change. Chelene cries and hides her head into Piccolo who is still holding her back. Vegeta places both hands in front of him and blasts him back into the next dimension with the Final Flash. Chelene jumps to the spot where Freeza was and cries on her knees. Vegeta flies off, he looks to his son who follows, but feels bad for the woman. Piccolo flies off on his own. Goku, Goten and Gohan stay with her. Goten touches her on the shoulder and she flinches before she realizes who it is.

"Are you gonna be okay ma'am?"

"He didn't have to kill him, he---he was a changed man." Goku tries to talk to her. "I'm sorry, but you really don't understand. He wiped out the whole Saiy-jin race and Vegeta was the Prince."

Goku didn't realize that she did know.

She just replies: "He was a changed man..."

Goku helps her to her feet. "I think we can find someone to help you out getting home."

The Saiy-jins fly her to Dr. Briefs who provides the spacecraft that finally flies her home. It was a long flight home, and she's been through so much. She was grateful for the opportunity to see Freeza again, and knows that someday they will be together. She can feel good about one thing inside: she did change Freeza to be a good person. Every night, she prays that one-day she'll hear his voice again in the night.

"Chelene......"
