Review: For years people have played Monopoly on the board, a few years ago I got a really "bad" version of Monopoly for my computer. When this new Monopoly game came out I took one look at the box and recognizing my craving for a good game of Monopoly, I bought it. This game lives up to all my expectations. The graphics are great, the gameplay easy and the options are great. Not only can you play against AI players you can create them putting such characteristics as their preference in property and how easy it is to trade. The opportunity to play over the net is very tempting and should not be overlooked. The graphics are overwhelming but after a while they got a little annoying and I wound up turning most of them off. If you have time to kill watching the graphics is a good way to do it. The sound is okay, some decent sound effects but nothing spectacular. The options are tremendous. If you get bored playing with American Community Chest and Chance cards switch to English or maybe another country. Free parking is in effect to either be a safe haven or collect fines. In my experience landing on free parking can change the game. There is a quick game option where you are given properties in the beginning. This game was a lot of fun to play and created quite a bit of hostility in my house, so be warned. I would recommend getting this game for those times when you need a Monopoly fix. It is a good game to play with a group of people. And rest easy, when you are done you don't have to pack up everything.
Hints: To some extent, Monopoly is a game of chance because the roll of the dice |
