A preview is said: Frieza and his father arrive at Earth but are killed by a mysterious teenager! The teenager asks the Z warriors to follow him. They start to follow him when he mentions that Goku will be arriving in two hours! The Z warriors are shocked and gleeful. Bulma, the only one who seems to like the kid, gives the kid a drink. Everyone sits down and awaits Goku's return to his homeplanet. The boy keeps continously staring at Vegeta, and Vegeta yells at him for it. Why is he so inquisitive about Vegeta. Is there anything interesting about the stubborn saiyan? Meanwhile, a space pod lands on Earth and Goku emerges, looking at the happy faces put on his friends faces.

Everyone is delighted at Goku's presence. The youth, on the other hand, has a serious look on his face. He calls Goku to have a little bit of a chat. When they are a long distance away from the others, the kid begins his story. His name is Trunks. Trunks tells him that he is from the future and he used a timemachine his mother created to reach the present. His world is being trashed and ruined by two, ruthless cyborg androids created by Dr. Gero. Dr. Gero was the creator of the Red Ribbon Army, who Goku destroyed many years ago. But Goku failed to destroy the person who needed to be destroyed--Dr. Gero! Dr. gero went on to create two androids. These particular androids that Dr. gero created are completing wrecking Trunks' society and time. Can Goku change history? Trunks tells Goku these androids from his time will be arriving in three years time in the present! Trunks lets Goku in on some more shocking news. He is Vegeta and Bulma's son! The real trunks will be born in two years from now! Goku is startled by the news. Trunks tells Goku of his fate which is rather disappointing and discouraging. In the battle, Goku will perish from a heart disease and the whole Z gang will be killed except Trunks. In Trunks' time, that was what actually happened. Trunks asks Goku to go Super Saiyan, just to see how strong Goku really is. They both go Super Saiyan, and Trunks draws his sword. He tells Goku to block it. Trunks takes a large swipe at the Super Saiyan, and the Super Saiyan simply doesn't react and the sword doesn't hit him. Trunks asks why he didn't react to his move, and Goku replies that he knew he wasn't going to try and hit him. Trunks warns him that this time he will. He slashes out at Goku, but Goku simply holds up a finger, blocking the swords movements! Now Trunks knows just why Goku defeated Frieza on Namek, he is extremely powerful. Trunks is satisfied, Goku is strong enough to take on the androids, but the androids unfortunately are a tiny bit stronger. Are Trunks' claims reality? Trunks decides to go back to his time, wishing them goodluck in their training in preparation for the Androids arrival. He sets sail in his time machine, returning to the future. With Trunks' warning justified, Goku tells the news to all his friends. Everyone begins some serious training!

Goku tells them of his escape route from Namek, as they are all interested to know. He tells them that in the dying seconds, he spotted Ginyu's space pod and escaped with the usage of that. Everyone is shocked. Goku tells them that he stopped by at a mysterious planet where some of the Tuffles lived. the Tuffles nursed him to health, and taught him the Instant Transmission Technique. After being healed and having his skills enhanced, Goku set sail to Earth in ginyu's pod. And here he is now. They are interested to know about how the Instant Transmission works and ask Goku for a demonstration. He places two fingers on his forehead, and vanishes without a trace, returning seconds later with Master Roshi's sunglasses. He evidently teleported to Master Roshi's island and back! Everyone stares at Goku in awe. Goku tells everyone to train hard for the Androids arrival, because theirs, and the whole human races lives are at stake!

The episode is based on training. Yamcha trains beside Bulma's house at Capsule Corp. and practically next to him in a Capsule Corp ship, one of Dr. Brief's new designs is Vegeta. Vegeta thinks that if Goku can do 100 x gravity of Earth's, he can. In fact, he quadriples that! He is now training with the graviton at 400! Is he insane? His obsession of being better than Goku leads him to be doing this. In this condition, Vegeta can barely pick himself off the ground. Nonetheless, he lifts himself from the ground and starts to pick up a rhythm! Yamcha shows envy and creeps up to the pod and spies on Vegeta. Vegeta works tirelessly in his training. Vegeta goes to sleep, and Yamcha tries it at 400! Yamcha immediately falls to the ground, and the git struggles to even turn the graviton off. Sorry buddo', but trying to beat 400 gravity is just too much! Meanwhile out in the mountains Goku and Piccolo train Gohan. They go easy on the boy, but start to be a little rough to hype Gohan up so he can improve. When Gohan has breaks, Goku trains for himself! Tien trains with Chaoutzu in the snowfields, and Krillin trains with Master Roshi. Everyone is undergoing heavy training, and it is good signs considering the arrival of the androids isn't faraway! The next day Vegeta trains even harder, increasing the graviton to 450. The saiyan will do anything to be best! He fires a ki blast in the ship, it circles around the graviton and Vegeta is hit by his own blast, full-force. The whole ship explodes, and Vegeta is buried under a stack of tiles and other debris and remains. Bulma arrives to try and help Vegeta out, but Vegeta emerges from the bricks angrily and stubbornly says he needs no help, for he is the saiyan prince. He gets on his feet, but falls back down again. Bulma puts him on a spare bed, and heals him. Vegeta is asleep healing, and Bulma rests her head on Vegeta's chest and makes herself comfortable. What do they have between them!?

Chi-Chi asks for Goku to have a days break of training. She isn't happy with Goku and Piccolo not being able to drive, so she sends them to driving school to receive their driving license, ignoring their complaints they they don't need to drive, flying is a quicker form of transport! Goku is forced to take a driving test with an old, grumpy man. Piccolo is forced to have a driving test with a young las. Piccolo has his hat backwards and Goku and Piccolo's driving leads to road rage. Goku and Piccolo have races, and receive bad marks. When the test is about to finish, however, Goku and Piccolo together help save many innocent lives when a bus is about to fall off a cliff. For this helpful chore, they just pass and both of them receive driver's licenses!(not that they care or anything) Meanwhile, trainign continues and Krillin begins to practice the Kamehameha wave!! And during Piccolo and Goku's day out, you guessed it, Gohan had to study! Chi-Chi is happy with Goku and Piccolo's results and the episode ends.
