Subject : The second annual Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema
Staff :waldir
Date : Friday, September 20, 2002
The second annual Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema (WFAC) will be held this year on November 6-7th, 2002, at the Waterloo Galaxy Cinema in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This state-of-the-art theatre features ten screens, DTS/Dolby digital sound, two digital projectors, and stadium seating. The theatre is located conveniently 1 hour's drive from Toronto, 1.5 hours from Niagara Falls/Buffalo, or 3 hours from Windsor/Detroit.

Last year's inaugural festival featured "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust", "Metropolis" and "Jin-roh: the Wolf Brigade". This year, we've got an even more exciting lineup planned. We are pleased to announce the first two titles on our programme:

"Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door" (2001): an action-packed all-new story of the band of bounty-hunting misfits from the fan-favourite anime TV series, "Cowboy Bebop". Action, with style.

"A Tree of Palme" (2002): a fantasy-adventure written and directed by Takashi Nakamura, whose earlier credits include the wonderfully imaginative "Catnapped!", as well as the anime TV series "Peter Pan" and the "Nightmare" segment of "Robot Carnival." Mr. Nakamura was also the chief animator for the classic anime film "Akira."

......Hey all, well, ther hasnt been much new in the world of anime, so I've been working on something else. I', looking for a GOOD writer, who has an original story, and not an Evangelion fanfic, I repeat, NOT an EVA story, almost everyone i've meet has one. The point is for me to make it as a comic(manga), cause my stories kinda suck, so if you have any good stories, email me (lionhunterevil@aol.com), or AIM at CrushinLionHeart or lionhunterevil......later.

More news, for those of you who don't already know the Hades OVA will consist of 13 episodes which will air on November 9th in PPV only on Sky Perfect Tv!. By the way, I'm running out of webspace, so if anyone could help me by hosting 1 or 2 of my music videos I will greatly appretiate it, I already know nobody's gonna help me but I had to try, I'm really in need this time. That's all for now......

For those wondering what DBZ movies are out , they are movies 1,2,3,4,5,6........#5, the first Cooler movie and #6, the second Cooler movie, if you can, get DVD for the 5th movie, it has more story, plus you get to see some Freezer action, movie 6 is OK i guess.....but #5 has four languages, including Spanish, which it's pretty cool........Also, for those that care, im doin a Music vid with a hip-hop song, which is rare in the AMV community, they all want to use rock or something else, this video will only get out of my computer if you guys request it, cause...well, it kinda sucks, but it's a funny kind of suck, I'll be over with it in about one or two days, so request now (or later, doesnt matter), meaning email, or the thing in the music videos page......whatever, later.

For those that have a PS2.....lucky bastards, should be familiar with Zone Of the Enders(ZOE), the first part of the TV series, Zone of the Enders - Dolores, 1: Countdown to Destiny hits stores November 19, 2002. This is the first volume in the TV series follow-up to the upcoming Zone of the Enders: Idolo OVA. DVD extras include: ADR Session with Japanese Voice Actors Mitsuru Miyamoto & Narumi Hidaka, Clean Opening and Closing Animations, Production Sketches, Conceptual Artwork and ADV Previews, which i should check, might have the Saint Seiya Prev...Also, each of the six volumes in Zone of the Enders: Dolores 1 comes with four exclusive Zone of the Enders trading cards, which to me is a waste of good paper, I cant see the point of playing with cards....retarded kids(dont mind me, i like to say stuff like that).....Until later....

Cartoon Network has announced that new episodes of Original Dragonball are tentatively scheduled to premier on October 21st 2002. The new episodes of Dragonball Z premiers on September 16th 2002.
According to the current Anime Invasion Magazine, the distribution license to the first 53 episodes of Dragonball Z, the first two American TV seasons, will revert back to FUNimation from Pioneer at the end of the year. FUNimation plans to re-script and re-dub these episodes for American release totally uncut and uncensored to bilingual VHS and DVD. How exactly this will be done remains to be seen as an uncut release will expand the 53 American episodes back to their original roughly 75 Japanese episodes and thereby confuse the existing established American episode numbering.
