Gohan is forced to study lots, writing down in his books. Chi-CHi stands over him, crossing her arms, impressed at her sons intelligence. Gohan is trying to finish it quickly so that he can go out and play with Goku and maybe train a little. The door bursts open, and Oolong the pig, Krillin and Goku enter with a look of excitement on their faces. They tell Gohan to hurry up in his studying, for they are going camping in the woods!

Elsewhere across the galaxy, Koola, Frieza's stronger brother makes a speech in front of many of his troops that his brother and father were assassinated by a young Super Saiyan. Koola tells them he must get revenge for what the Super Saiyan, whoever it is, did to his family. His troops are satisfied with his speech, and he and his servants zoom off towards Earth. On the planet Earth, Oolong, Krillin and Gohan persuade the stern Chi-CHi that they're going camping. The trio walk among the forest until they find a suitable camping spot. They begin to collect some firewood. Oolong sits down at the campsite, wondering why Gohan and Krillin have taken so long. Gohan and Krillin are attacked by three powerful henchman. They say they're henchman of Frieza's brother, Koola. Gohan and Krillin are easily defeated by the three henchman, and it seems all is lost as Koola walks slowly towards them. Goku suddenly arrives to help Gohan and Krillin. Koolalooks at Goku with rage, knowing that he is a Super Saiyan. The injured Gohan and Krillin retreat to their father, but Koolatries to stop them by firing a Eye-Laser. It is about to hit them when suddenly Goku dives in its way valiantly. Goku is struck by the powerful blast. Everyone thinks that Koola is Frieza. WIth Krillin and Gohan wrapped in his arms, they all fall into a river that has a strong current. Koola orders his three henchman to dispose of them immediately. Oolong is left and since he cannot do anything, Gohan knows that only Goku can defeat Koola. But their only hope is down and out, so Gohan needs to heal him. The only thing that can perform that are the magical senzu beans that belong to Korin who lives in Sky Palace. Gohan goes to fetch them whilst Krillin, who seems recovers faster protects Goku. Koola and his three henchman follow Gohan to see what he is doing, leaving Oolong, Goku and Krillin all alone in the woods. Gohan convinces Korin the cat that the senzu beans are Earth's only hope. With reluctance, Korin hands them over to Gohan, and Yajirobe adds another one for good luck. Gohan hides them in his belt with full focus of what he has to do, and zooms away from Sky Palace.

On his way back, Gohan encounters Koola and his henchman. Koola stands and watches his henchman confront Gohan, trying to steal the bag of senzu beans. But suddenly Piccolo jumps in unexpectedly and saves the day, kicking all of them to the ground. Piccolo displays great power and manages to exterminate two. With one left,Koola steps into the fight, and nails him with a blast into the sky, with an altitude of about 200 metres. Gravity pulls Piccolo back down and he also thinks Koola is Frieza. He hits the ground with a sickening crunch, and falls unconscious. In all this fighting, Gohan is able to find his father and he hands Goku a senzu bean. Goku is able to consume and digest one and he recovers instantly. The last henchman follows Gohan and pursues him. He chases Gohan but Gohan seeks refuge. Goku is there, and Goku easily kills the henchman. With all the henchman dead, it is just Koola remaining. Koola arrives at the woods with the unconscious Piccolo in his arms. Koola tosses him towards Goku but before Goku catches the figure Koola blasts Piccolo and he falls to the ground, nearly dead. Goku suddenly bursts with anger after Piccolo is down and he puts on a big show. He punches Koola many times with fury, and Koola is forced to jump back a bit. Koola finds out he can only defeat the saiyan if he transforms into his next state. Like Frieza, he can transform. His transformation is successful, and the tables have turned. Even equipped with the Kamehameha attack, Goku is nothing in comparison to Koola. Koola dictates the fight as Goku sends another Kamehameha towards Koola, this time stronger. Koola effortlessly nails Goku and the kamehameha to the ground and all seems lost. But revision of what koola, his father and brother have done to this planet and its inhabitants causes Goku to go all out and transform into a Super Saiyan! The tables have once again turned, as Koola struggles to lay a hand on the dynamic warrior. Koola is unable to resume, and it seems Goku is victorious, until Koola attacks Goku from behind. it is a rather weak attack, and Goku just stands there as the attack repels. All that endures from the attack was a cloud of smoke. But Koola absorbs the smoke and creates a giant death ball, the last of his energy. He tosses it and it overwhelms Goku, and it slowly drives Goku into the ground. Goku is able to counter the attack with a massive Kamehameha blast that vanquishes the ball and sending Koola into the sun, where he burns to death..
