Evil // The survival of the undead!
|
A secret underground lab, owned by the umbrella
corporation has been working on bio-chemical substances. An
accident occurred and the bio-virus spread
throughout the lab killing everyone. A team is formed to go
down into the underground lab and isolate the virus from
reaching the surface. What they didn't know was that everyone
wasn't dead but were turned into zombie like creatures that
can infect others with just a bite or scratch. The team has 3
hours to complete their mission and try to stay alive against
the infected zombies.

Based on the popular game by Capcom,
Resident Evil delivers big in the box office and in our
ratings. This movie had a great plot that had twists and jolts
throughout the whole film. A very good and thought out story
that ties the whole movie together with the games that is was
based on. The story can somewhat get fuzzy at times but can be
understood with careful listening. I believe the story sets
before the 2nd Resident Evil game and focuses on a character
named Alice who was brilliantly played
my Milla Jovovich.
The special effects of this movie was excellent. Everything
looked life-like and does not look like it was computer
generated. The sceneries were awesome. It really looked like
they were in Racoon City. The zombies looked like real undead
people but that is easily done with just a ton of make-up and
some messed up wardrobe. But nonetheless, the special effects
are very good.
To sum up the sound effects, music and soundtrack in one word,
Perfection. They did an outstanding job and if there are any
"best soundtrack in a movie award", then this movie
should surely get it. The music is pulse-pounding in an action
scene, freakishly horrific in a scary scene and is just
perfect throughout the whole film.
The cast did a marvelous job in their acting part. Alice,
played by Milla Jovovich (5th element) was wonderfully
presented. She had the brawns and beauty part that you can
clearly see on the bottom right screenshot. Michelle Rodriguez
(fast and the furious) co-starring as a character named Rain
also did a superb job. This movie is just not one to miss
specially if you are a fan of the Resident Evil games. I give
it 2 thumbs up.
