In the year 2015, huge alien creatures called
Angles touch down on Tokyo for the second time and start
wreaking havoc. A special organization called NERV developed
strong robotic suits called Evangelions that can match up
against the Angels. But only the ones that are born after the
first touchdown of the Angels can pilot them. Therefore a
small group of teenagers are given the task of piloting the
evas and must save the world from the Angels.

The storyline of evangelion is very
unique and original. Big robots fighting against other huge
creatures may not be that original to you but the way they tie
everything together is very good. A group of teenagers saving
the world, piloting evangelions and fighting against the
angels. This series is one not to miss. This series took Japan
by storm and hopefully will come out in North America.
The animations are great. The fight scenes looks very good.
Smashing against buildings, looks like something you would
from a Godzilla film. Very nicely drawn characters and
backgrounds. Not to mention the Evangelions looks awesome.
Sound effects are put together very well. The voices are good.
And the music are outstanding. They did a great job with the
sound effects.
The characters are very memorable. Shinji, Rei and Asuka along
with a few others make great characters in this series. Each
with their own personalities and traits in the battlefield,
they really are well thought off characters.

Shinji
Shinji is the main character of Evangelion. He is a 14
year old son of the wealthiest man in the world.
Shinji is very insecure and is a very shy person. It
is hard for him to get connections with others. He is
the 3rd child. |
Asuka
Asuka is very confident about herself. She likes to
brag about her piloting skills. She is constantly
working hard to try and be the best. She has alot of
pride and likes to show it off. She is the 2nd child. |
Rei
Rei is unlike Asuka. She likes to keep to herself. She
is very quiet and seems like she has no emotions. She
doesn't like expressing herself to others. Later we
find out that she is part of Angel and that her
memories have been erased. She is the 1st child. |
