Review:
It's nice to see the classics again. Final Fantasy 9 has
the midevil age theme like all of the others before 7. Tradition is nice. Also,
you can have 4 characters in your party at once instead of 3. The look is even
better than the other ones of course. The main character is cool. Unlike the
other games, the main character is lively, loyal and caring from the start. His
motto is "You don't need a reason to help people". That's cool. Also like the
older games, not everyone can learn black and white magic. Different characters
have different abilities. And unlike 7 and 8, your Limit guage attack isn't
called a limit break, it's called trance and it lasts for a few turns (4
actually), nice huh? Downside is, the eildolons, (Summon monsters) aren't as
strong as you would hope. Also, The Final Boss has nothing to do with the game.
You only find out about him right before you fight him. I don't like that. Up
side is, Chocographs and other chocobo games give you a lot to do once the game
is over. I give it 4.5 stars. Hints (PS): Jump rope mini-game Two-player battles Other endings Infinite MP Easy AP Easy experience Black Jack mini-game Successfully complete the game.
